Yesterday I made an off site comment to the effect that the campaign had gotten ugly, because the Trump Humpers and the Regressives (lefty ideologues) were echoing each other.  I understand that Hillary Clinton is not the candidate many of us, including me, prefer to represent our party, but from where I sit, Hillary has all but won the nomination, and short of a miracle, the only way to prevent that is to steal it from her, something which I would never support. But don't listen to me. Listen to someone eminently more qualified.<\/font><\/p>\n

As the platform battles march on<\/a> this weekend, it appears that movement toward Democratic Party unity is afoot. In an interview Bernie Sanders gave Al Hunt on the Charlie Rose show, he was asked to respond to his supporters who are considering a third-party vote over Clinton.<\/p>\n

“We have got to do everything that we can to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton<\/strong>,” Sanders answered. He also said he did not think the country would survive four years of Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Rumors are swirling that Clinton and Sanders will make a joint appearance in New Hampshire on Tuesday. As of this writing, Clinton is confirmed to be in New Hampshire, but the Sanders campaign has not sent out any press releases to that effect, so this may be more rumor than fact… [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
