Luxuriating in the superiority of their intellect over Americans\u2019 has long been a favorite pastime in Britain, surpassing in popularity such games as cricket, darts, and snooker. An incredible majority of younger voters opted to stay in the EU. Among 18- to 24-year-olds, 75 percent voted to remain, according to a <a href=\"http:\/\/d25d2506sfb94s.cloudfront.net\/cumulus_uploads\/document\/640yx5m0rx\/On_the_Day_FINAL_poll_forwebsite.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><font color=\"#0066cc\">YouGov poll,<\/font><\/a> as did a majority of voters aged 25 to 49.<\/p>\n<p data-wc=\"47\" style=\"text-align: center;\" word_count=\"47\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"695\" height=\"391\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iAgKHSNqxa8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-wc=\"47\" word_count=\"47\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">I have seen a number of petitions asking the British government to allow 16&nbsp; and 17 year olds to vote in the referendum.&nbsp; The younger groups of voters are the ones that will have to deal with the results of leaving the EU.&nbsp; In a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/world\/2016\/06\/24\/3792551\/brexit-working-class\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\"><strong>Think Progress<\/strong><\/span><\/a>&nbsp;<span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">article which I read earlier, those most affected by the Brexit decision will be the working class.&nbsp; Yet it is to those same people that the leave side sold the idea of increasing fortunes after leaving the EU.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-wc=\"47\" word_count=\"47\">&quot;Ultimately, the British economy has suffered alongside much of the E.U. over the course of the past few years, and those most affected have been blue collar workers. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) came down to the House floor to confront them about what he perceives to be the real problem.<\/p>\n<p data-wc=\"47\" word_count=\"47\">&ldquo;We are talking about radical Islam! Radical Islam killed these people!&rdquo; Gohmert shouted&nbsp; &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Orlando aside, <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2016\/06\/13\/3787606\/toxic-masculinity-mass-shooting\/\"><font color=\"#0066cc\">many recent mass shootings<\/font><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2015\/11\/28\/3726240\/the-political-motivations-of-the-planned-parenthood-shooting-suspect-revealed\/\"><font color=\"#0066cc\">haven&#39;t involved Islam at all<\/font><\/a>. In fact, a recent study found that Americans are <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/justice\/2015\/11\/30\/3725562\/you-are-more-than-7-times-as-likely-to-be-killed-by-a-right-wing-extemist-than-by-muslim-terrorists\/\"><font color=\"#0066cc\">seven times more likely to be killed by a right-wing extremist<\/font><\/a> than they are by a Muslim terrorist.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday morning, Gohmert went on Fox News to talk about the House floor confrontation. Instead of discussing the role he believes radical Islam plays in American gun violence, he decried gun free zones and immigration, saying, &quot;If this administration would protect us from people coming in, then we wouldn&#39;t have to worry&quot; as much about terrorism.
