{"id":2190,"date":"2010-07-08T04:38:42","date_gmt":"2010-07-08T11:38:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=2190"},"modified":"2010-07-08T04:38:42","modified_gmt":"2010-07-08T11:38:42","slug":"constitution-article-iii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2010\/07\/08\/constitution-article-iii\/","title":{"rendered":"Constitution: Article III"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#160;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/usconstitution3.gif\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right-width: 0px; display: block; float: none; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; margin-left: auto; border-left-width: 0px; margin-right: auto\" title=\"us-constitution\" border=\"0\" alt=\"us-constitution\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/usconstitution_thumb3.gif\" width=\"652\" height=\"508\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">We are going to over the Constitution and its Amendments line by line.&#160; When Republicans wave their paper props and parrot their vile machinations, we will be prepared to expose the lies.&#160; The text comes from<\/font> <a href=\"http:\/\/constitutionus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The US Constitution<\/a><font color=\"#0000ff\">.&#160; It will be displayed in black, while my comments will be indented in blue.&#160; Earlier articles include:<\/font><\/p>\n<h6 align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/?p=2144\" target=\"_blank\">Preamble \u2013 Article I, Section 5<\/a><\/h6>\n<h6 align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/?p=2156\" target=\"_blank\">Article I, Sections 6-10<\/a><\/h6>\n<h6 align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/?p=2166\" target=\"_blank\">Article II, Section 1<\/a><\/h6>\n<h6 align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/?p=2176\" target=\"_blank\">Article II, Sections 2-4<\/a><\/h6>\n<p align=\"center\">&#160;<\/p>\n<h3 align=\"center\">Article III<\/h3>\n<h5>Section 1<\/h5>\n<p>The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.&#160; The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services, a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Note how vague the authors left the underpinnings of our judiciary system.&#160; The lack of definition indicates that they intended the judiciary to be flexible enough to adjust to changing conditions, contrary to the Republicans\u2019 strict construction argument.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h5>Section 2<\/h5>\n<p>1:&#160; The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;&#8211;to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;&#8211;to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;&#8211;to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;&#8211;to Controversies between two or more States;&#8211;between a State and Citizens of another State;&#160;&#160; &#8211;between Citizens of different States, &#8211;between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Thus the judiciary role is to is to resolve all legal conflicts, both criminal and civil.&#160; Nowhere is there a provision for biding arbitration.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>2:&#160; In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction.&#160; In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">This is the authority under which the the Court intervened in the 2000 election with the infamous <em>Bush v.
