She cited what many consider <a href=\"http:\/\/thinkprogress.org\/health\/2015\/05\/20\/3661010\/campus-rape-surveys\/\" target=\"_blank\">a current epidemic<\/a> of \u201cviolence, harassment and rape\u201d at colleges and universities. <\/p>\n<p>Kasich at first ignored the student\u2019s question and turned to his staffer, joking that he had to go and didn\u2019t want to miss his ride. He then suggested that all colleges offer victims of sexual assault \u201cconfidential reporting,\u201d rape kits, and \u201cthe opportunity to be able to pursue justice after you have had some time to reflect on it all.\u201d He concludes by telling the woman, a first-year at New York\u2019s Saint Lawrence University: \u201cI will give you one bit of advice.
