{"id":20080,"date":"2016-02-20T10:52:20","date_gmt":"2016-02-20T18:52:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/?p=20080"},"modified":"2016-02-20T10:52:20","modified_gmt":"2016-02-20T18:52:20","slug":"gop-supports-kkk-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/2016\/02\/20\/gop-supports-kkk-again\/","title":{"rendered":"GOP Supports KKK Again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">The Republican party has made it possible for all manner of racists, bigots, homophobes, and misogynists to come out of hiding, because their hatred is now socially acceptable within Republican circles.&#160; But not everything they do is out in the open.&#160; Here a Georgia lawmaker is cleverly hiding KKK support in a bill designed to legalize discrimination against LGBT folks.<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"GOPRacism4\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; float: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin-left: auto; display: block; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; margin-right: auto\" border=\"0\" alt=\"GOPRacism4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/GOPRacism4.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"339\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Prior to the Georgia State Senate passing a \u201creligious freedom\u201d bill designed to offer protections to people who oppose same-sex marriage, a black lawmaker was stunned when <strong>one of the authors behind the bill<\/strong> <strong>blithely dismissed the fact that it would also protect the Ku Klux Klan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Georgia First Amendment Defense Act was sponsored by GOP Sen.
