\"1217Miller\"Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller may be taking the so-called \u201cwar on Christmas\u201d a little too literally. <\/p>\n

In a Facebook post [Republican delinked<\/em>] on Wednesday, the Republican official said that he would \u201cslap\u201d anyone who wished him \u201cHappy Holidays\u201d instead of \u201cMerry Christmas<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf one more person says Happy Holidays to me I just might slap them. Either tell me Merry Christmas or just don\u2019t say anything,\u201d Miller wrote.<\/p>\n

The message included a photo of a cowboy riding a bull in front of a sign that read: \u201cWe Will Never Take Christ Out Of Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post had been liked over 7,000 times by Thursday morning. <\/p>\n

However, hundreds of people responded to Miller\u2019s post by wishing him Happy Holidays, including a GIF from the Texas Democratic Party.<\/p>\n

The Houston Chronicle pointed out<\/a> that Miller had a history of posting controversial remarks on Facebook. In one post, he called for nuking the \u201cMuslim world<\/strong>.\u201d In another post, he compared Syrian refugees to \u201crattlesnakes.\u201d\u2026 [emphasis added<\/em>]<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
