On October 11<\/a>, I discussed how the GOP is using a procedural tactic in the Senate to block an extension of unemployment benefits for victims of the Bush\/GOP favorite initiative: No Millionaire Left Behind<\/em><\/strong>.  Well, they\u2019re at it again.<\/p>\n

\"GOPgreedy\"<\/a> While Republicans may be publicly wringing their hands over unemployment numbers (while gleefully calculating how they can use them to their advantage in 2010), they continue to <\/span>block<\/a> legislation that would extend unemployment benefits:<\/span><\/p>\n

Republicans are hoping to attach a number of amendments related to ACORN and immigration \u2014 provisions that have delayed floor action on the UI bill indefinitely, according to the offices of both Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).<\/p>\n

A spokesman from the Majority<\/span> Leader’s office mewls:<\/p>\n

It seems as if they aren\u2019t negotiating in good faith on this.<\/p>\n

Wow, what insight.<\/p>\n

For the <\/span>second time<\/a> in a month, the Party of No is screwing over those who need help the most — but they’re getting an able assist from the Party Who Can’t Spell Majority\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
