Clinton, Sen. Sanders and Gov. O&rsquo;Malley <\/strong>all acquitted themselves admirably.&nbsp; But even with <strong>Chafee <\/strong>and <strong>Webb <\/strong>up on the stage, the average IQ was a good 30 to 40 points higher than with the GOP debates &hellip; at least!<\/p>\n<p>And although there was no moment like Lloyd Bentsen telling little Danny Quayle,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><strong>&ldquo;Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy. I knew Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you&#039;re no Jack Kennedy.&rdquo;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&hellip; Or Pres. Obama to Romney,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><strong>Please proceed, governor.&rdquo;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We were treated to the most memorable quote of the night when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/10\/14\/us\/politics\/hillary-clinton-moves-quickly-to-re-establish-trust-in-honesty-and-competence.html?smid=pl-share\" target=\"_blank\">Sen. Sanders came to Hillary&rsquo;s defense over BENGHAZI <\/a>with<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><strong>&ldquo;Let me say something that may not be great politics, but I think the secretary is right &mdash; and that is that the American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails,&rdquo; Mr. Sanders said to cheers and a standing ovation from the Democratic audience.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Hillary-Clinton_Bernie-Sanders_Shake-Hands_Damn-Emails_01.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Hillary-Clinton_Bernie-Sanders_Shake-Hands_Damn-Emails_01\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-16631\" height=\"178\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Hillary-Clinton_Bernie-Sanders_Shake-Hands_Damn-Emails_01-300x178.png\" width=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Hillary-Clinton_Bernie-Sanders_Shake-Hands_Damn-Emails_01-300x178.png 300w, https:\/\/www.politicsplus.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Hillary-Clinton_Bernie-Sanders_Shake-Hands_Damn-Emails_01.png 646w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>[NOTE to Hillary: You owe him one!]<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And Hillary gave the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/politics\/2015\/10\/best-moments-from-the-democratic-debate\" target=\"_blank\">best one-word answer of the evening <\/a>with a simple and gracious, <em><strong>&ldquo;No.&rdquo;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>After Clinton and Sanders both agreed that the email scandal had become a sideshow, Chafee challenged Clinton on the email issue, saying the highest ethical standards should be a prerequisite for the next president.
