She is so honored for the Republican way in which she addresses people with different religious beliefs.<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"0414Scott\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; float: left; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"0414Scott\" src=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/0414Scott.jpg\" width=\"360\" align=\"left\" height=\"374\" \/>Last year, the Religious Right largely celebrated the Supreme Court\u2019s decision in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scotusblog.com\/case-files\/cases\/town-of-greece-v-galloway\/\" target=\"_blank\">Town of Greece v. Galloway<\/a>, in which the court ruled that municipalities can open meetings with sectarian prayers as long as minority faiths aren\u2019t excluded and attendance isn\u2019t mandatory.<\/p>\n<p>But the protections for minority religions don\u2019t seem to have completely sunk in for everybody in the movement, as was made clear last week at a Republican presidential forum hosted by the influential Iowa conservative group The Family Leader. As we noted earlier, the message at the forum <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rightwingwatch.org\/content\/huckabee-obama-calling-michael-sam-sign-americas-utter-collapse\" target=\"_blank\">centered on claims<\/a> that conservative Christians are losing religious liberty in America, but that didn\u2019t stop The Family Leader President Bob Vander Plaats from warning that a Wiccan prayer at the Iowa statehouse that morning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rightwingwatch.org\/content\/bob-vander-plaats-warns-divine-retribution-wiccan-prayer-iowa-state-capitol\">might cause God to withdraw His blessing from America. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tamara Scott, an <a href=\"https:\/\/gop.com\/leaders\/states\/IA\" target=\"_blank\">Iowa member of the Republican National Committee<\/a> [GOP delinked] who is also a lobbyist for The Family Leader, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xWPU6ojSwBI\" target=\"_blank\">struck a similar note<\/a> in her remarks to the forum, saying that the Wiccan prayer and the invocation delivered by a Muslim imam the previous day showed the need to teach Christian-nation history in public schools.<\/p>\n<p>Scott joked that she had prayed for a storm to greet the Wiccan woman that morning, before telling the audience that the non-Christian prayers at the statehouse showed that \u201cwhen we\u2019re not willing to defend our God in the public square, we shouldn\u2019t be surprised when others try to replace Him.\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Inserted from &lt;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rightwingwatch.org\/content\/gop-committeewoman-muslim-wiccan-statehouse-prayers-show-need-christianity-public-schools\" target=\"_blank\">Right Wing Watch<\/a>&gt;<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#ff0000\"><strong>Barf Bag Alert!!<\/strong><\/font><\/p>\n<p>&#160;<iframe loading=\"lazy\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/jOrvu9-GQAQ?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe> <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">As an authentic Christian, I welcome and honor your beliefs, no matter what they are (or aren\u2019t), with one exception.&#160; I will not honor intolerance to others\u2019 beliefs.&#160; This women exemplifies that intolerance with her Republican Supply-side pseudo-Christian bigotry.&#160; <\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is the sixty-eighth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become.
