I don\u2019t know what happened.  Supply-side Jesus (the GOP invention, not the real one) must have been busy denying medical care to a leper, or he would have intervened.  For a brief moment in time, Tom \u201cHypocritical Oath\u201d Coburn told the truth.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"Fox-sheep\"<\/a> On Tuesday night’s installment of "The O’Reilly Factor", Fox News host Bill O’Reilly went after<\/a> Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) for a comment Coburn made at a town hall meeting in Oklahoma earlier in the month. Coburn shot down speculation that imprisonment was one of the consequences for those who chose not to purchase health insurance, telling the crowd: "The intention is not to put anybody in jail. That makes for good TV news on FOX but that isn’t the intention<\/strong>."<\/p>\n

O’Reilly didn’t take too kindly to that sort of criticism of his employer, especially coming from a conservative like Coburn. So O’Reilly defied Coburn to name a single person on Fox News who had ever said such a thing. And then O’Reilly dropped the gauntlet, saying, "We researched to find out if anybody on Fox News had ever said you’re going to jail if you don’t buy health insurance. Nobody’s ever said it<\/font><\/strong>."<\/p>\n

Really? Coburn said he was pretty sure he’d heard it before. And of course, he had\u2026  <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
