He hasn&#8217;t made a mortgage payment in over three years. And the process servers can&#8217;t <\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wweek.com\/portland\/article-21408-where%E2%80%99s_john_kuzmanich.html\" target=\"_blank\">find him:<\/a><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\" color=\"#0066cc\"><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: ; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.375in; line-height: normal\"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Washington County court records show Kuzmanich is more than three years behind in mortgage payments on a Beaverton duplex. The lender, the Federal National Mortgage Association, better known as Fannie Mae, has gone to extraordinary lengths\u2014unsuccessfully, so far\u2014to find Kuzmanich and serve him with court papers. <\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: ; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.375in; line-height: normal\"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Kuzmanich, 45, is a University of Iowa grad who built a family trucking business and worked as a mortgage broker. He burst onto the political scene in 2009, founding the Oregon Tea Party and launching a bid for the 1st Congressional District seat then held by U.S. Rep. David Wu (D-Ore.).<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: ; margin: 0in; line-height: normal\"><font style=\"font-size: 12pt\">&#8230;<\/font><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Inserted from &lt;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailykos.com\/story\/2013\/10\/18\/1248688\/-Oregon-Tea-Party-founder-hasn-t-paid-his-mortgage-in-three-years\" target=\"_blank\">Daily Kos<\/a>&gt;<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Here\u2019s some video of him included with the article:<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" height=\"360\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MurQsGNtjRs?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">He\u2019s obviously not the brightest bulb in the pack.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">I actually had occasion to meet him.&#160; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.7thstep.org\/blog\/2010\/10\/21\/i-saw-obama-in-portland-1020\/\" target=\"_blank\">Here\u2019s how I described it in 2010<\/a>.<\/font><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">When I got off the train, I immediately encountered a bunch of Teabaggers carrying \u201cResist the Nanny State\u201d and \u201cVote for Dudley\u201d signs.&#160; I decided to talk to them.&#160; A guy stepped forward, as I approached them, and I said, \u201cSo you\u2019re for privatizing Social Security and letting people take care of their own, instead of depending on big government?&#160; He agreed.&#160; And I said, and you\u2019re for privatizing Medicare and letting people taking care of their own, instead of depending on big government?&#160; Again he agreed.&#160; Next I said, \u201cAny you\u2019re for extending the Bush Tax Cuts for the rich?&#160; He agreed again. \u201cAnd with you want more programs to encourage free trade?&#160; He said yes.&#160; Heh heh.&#160; I said, \u201cThen what you have told me is that you don\u2019t want the nanny state to provide the benefits and services for which people have paid, but you do want the nanny state to continue benefits and services for the very rich and criminal corporations.&#160; That\u2019s not freedom.&#160; That\u2019s Teabuggery!&#160; He yammered and stammered a bit, but had nothing more to say.&#160; They objected to me taking their picture.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">I wish I knew he was a government loan deadbeat then.&#160; I could have had even more fun with him.&#160; As it was, passers by were laughing at him and patting me on the back.<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is the thirty-second article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become.
