The gaps between formal sessions generally arise just once a year and sometimes \u2014 as in 2012, when the Senate had not formally adjourned before the next session began \u2014 are skipped entirely. <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">This is judicial activism taken to extremes. None of the matters on which the court ruled were even before the court.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/online\/blogs\/borowitzreport\/2013\/03\/ryan-budget-plan-gets-endorsement-from-ayn-rand.html\" target=\"_blank\">The New Yorker<\/a>: <\/font>Rep.
