I’m still exhausted, but things are moving ahead.  I have my formal intake interview with Providence Home Hospice tomorrow.  They will come here to meet with Wendy and I, evaluate my needs, and set up a plan to meet them.  So I’ll know more soon, but in the meantime, I have a lot of records to collect.

Yesterday Nameless suggested that I should learn about deep breathing for stress management.  Rather than leave that in comments, I want to move that up to front street.  Not only am I familiar with deep breathing for stress management, I’ve been teaching it to my my guys as part of my prison volunteer work for over twenty years.  I am especially thankful to Nameless for bringing it up, because the stress came on me so fast that I completely forgot to use the technique myself.  Now I am using it and it is helping.  Thank you, good friend!

Now, I need a nap.  TGIF!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:07 (average 5:02).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Ah… the memories!  RESIST the Republican Reich!!

Don’t Let Republicans Steal YOUR Future!!

  1. You’re very welcome, dear TC.

And I know that we’re ALL here to help in any way we can.  Just let us know what we can do!

  2. Cartoon: But of course!
    PPC: Well done and sung!
BFTP: I miss him. Good song.

Good to see that the wheels are turning for you. Good Luck tomorrow! Hope all goes well for you .. and it’s so good to read that your breathing exercises are helping with your anxiety/stress/panic attacks. I apply this to myself when something overwhelms me too. Get your rest/&/naps in. Take good, good care, and Thanks, Tom. Thank you, Nameless for your insight and help.

    4. “Raising the minimum wage to $15.00 would lift 900,000 people out of poverty. Tell me how that’s not relief.” ~ Barbara Lee ~
    5. “I’ve heard that you have a new strategic plan, but I’m really concerned that this plan may neither be strategic nor a plan”. ~ Katie Porter to Louis DeJoy ~

    • TJI #2 – That’s a bit convoluted … but not a bad idea.
TJI #3 – Several of us thinking about Paul Ryan today.
TJI #5 – Great minds. See today’s video thread.

    • TJI#1: Might just talk himself into prison, eh?
TJI#2: It took me 3 readings, but I get it. Any way anyone can “get” DeJoy, works for me.
TJI#4: The GOPIGGIES will find a problem, count on it!

  3. It’s no wonder you need a nap. By all means stay rested as much as you can.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, one has to wonder (or at least I have to wonder) about the personalities of a litter of three kittens who have been given the names Angel, Goddess, and Pirate (Their mother is called Victoria.)

Pther PP Good Don – Insult to snakes? Well, it doesn’t apply to snakes which aren’t venomous. And I doubt if there is a snake in nature quite as venomous as Trump**.

Blast – The last time i went to the Santa Fe Opera, I was singing this one off and on – between radio stations — on my way back.

  4. Naps are some of my best friends.
‘Toon: Anything to boost profits, no matter it’s hurtful effects on the society that supports them.
    Don C.: So well done!
    BFP: Still love his music.

  5. Cartoon: Ain’t that the truth? Especially with technical/computer companies out sourcing to foreign countries.
Parody Project Channel: Don is spot on about heartless tRump; telling lies that got him voted in, then him not doing a flipping thing for the people the entire 4 years.
BFTP: Great song. I remember watch John Denver when he use to have a weekly show in the 70’s.
Happy to hear that you have an intake interview with Providence Hospice tomorrow. Plus that Wendy will be there too. I hope you’re able to find all the records you need.
Please take you time, don’t over do it. You still need to get your rest.
Good luck tomorrow. Tell Wendy “Hello” and “thanks”.
Do practice your breathing like Nameless reminded you. I want to thank him for reminding us too.
    Take care, TC

  6. I admire you so much, TomCat, for the way you climb back on top again, and again. It must be this trait that kept you with us despite all the setbacks that were thrown at you. 14

3:45 I need some of that potassium in those bananas.

Cartoon: Note that the money stream goes the reverse way but never leaves Republican pockets to be distributed across the US.

PP: Great parody, unless you’re a snake.

BFTP: My favourite song when I was very young, then it became my father’s favourite in his later years. Now, after more than 20 years, tears still fall upon hearing it.

  7. Thanks, gratitude, and no 26 Weekend Hugs to all!

  8. Thanks for the update–forgetting to use what we teach others under stressful situations is all too common for all of us–glad the breathing is making a difference.

  9. I feel so helpless and ineffective at this moment that all I can say is that my prayers and good wishes are with you everyday, TC. You are a special and priceless man.

  10. stay calm, stay strong…you are a leader….thank you for all you do
