Here is the one hundred forty-seventh article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. The winner is Republican pseudo-Christian Senator Joni "Pig Nuts" Ernst [R-IA]. She is so honored for the extreme hypocrisy of divorcing her husband for blocking her her quest to become her Fuhrer’s VP.

According to a divorce court filing, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) claims one of the reasons she wishes to part ways with her husband is because she believes he thwarted her ambition to become President Donald Trump’s running mate in 2016.

The Guardian reports that Ernst’s attorneys filed a supporting affidavit in her battle with her husband, Gail, stating, “In the summer of 2016, I was interviewed by Candidate Trump to be vice president of the United States. I turned Candidate Trump down, knowing it wasn’t the right thing for me or my family.

“I continued to make sacrifices and not soar higher out of concern for Gail and our family,” she said of her husband of 26 years.

The report states that Ernst met with Trump on July 4th, 2016 and discussed the job before telling Politico, “I made that very clear to him that I’m focused on Iowa. I feel that I have a lot more to do in the United States Senate. And Iowa is where my heart is.”

Now, in her divorce filing, Ernst is singing a different tune and putting the blame on her husband, complaining her husband “ … hated any successes I had and would belittle me and get angry any time I achieved a goal.”…

This is Joni Pig Nuts’ second parade.  She earned her first for extreme TEAbuggery in August 2014.

Here is the campaign ad that made her Joni Pig Nuts.

Here are the two area’s of hypocrisy.  She ran as a Republican Supply-side pseudo-Christian, claiming she was under her husband’s authority.  While, if she has really been abused, I have to support her decision to divorce, she has openly condemned Democrats for divorcing.  Second she ran on frugality, bus she whines that she cannot be part of the most greedy profligate administration in US history.

Finally, we should get a report on Joni Pig Nuts’ husband.  Given her proclivity to snip-snip, could the reason she’s divorcing him be that she destroyed his usefulness to her?

  1. Good grief. A very good candidate indeed. She’s speaking from both sides of her mouth, and blaming him for her failures, and squeals too. lol Let’s see/hear what he has to say on this too!

  2. Yep – a typical CINO (Christian In Name Only) and reich-wing Rethuglican. But do you really have to insult pigs that way?

  3. I have not yet wrapped my head around this … and may never. Her (for now) husband claims, on the contrary, that he picked up her slack in housework child care (how old are their kids, BTW? Anyone know?). Studies have shown that privilege blinds men regarding the degree to which they are REALLY carrying household burdens, of course, but he seems to think he did his share. She is such a piece of work that he is fortunate to be rid of her … but I assume he is also Republican, and Republicans are such liars that one can’t be sure whom to believe. I surely wish she had seen fit to get a divorce from the Senate rather than from her husband, though.

  4. I would think she should be grateful for NOT being selected.

Anything that Twitler touches turns to you-know-what.

The inevitable legal bills would be a burden!

  5. WOW fer real?!?!? ?

  6. I love how the party of family values forgets about family values when it serves their interests.

  7. “Family values,” was just a code word for “Us white bigots,” I believe.  They only value power…their own.  “Pig Nuts” is so appropriate!  I would not trust her as far as I could throw either she, or her husband.  In fact, if Drumph thought, for a minute, that he’d like to have her on his team, I’d expect she is supper toxic.

  8. She sure fits in the same category as tRump being one who only thinks of herself, not others. She supposedly wanted a family by having children and then makes others take over her part of the responsibilities. Truly a despicable bi*ch

  9. Jodi: “I continued to make sacrifices and not soar higher” She had that put in her divorce papers. The woman is utterly delusional.

The divorce judge should order her husband to have her put in a nice, comfy asylum and have her looked after well for the rest of her sad life. But never to allow her to return to society.

  10. Pig Nuts as VP?????  A first term Republican senator as VP?????  What was Trump thinking?  Forget it . . . he is incapable of rational thought.  Actually though, in a way it makes sense . . . he grabs pussy and she grabs nuts! And there is no such thing as family values when it comes to Republicans. Mitch has it correct: “Family values,” was just a code word for “Us white bigots,”

    Parade more than well deserved.

  11. Thanks and hurried hugs to all. 23
