Here is the one hundred forty-third article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is Republican Senator [R-AZ] Martha McSally. She is so honored for sleazing her way into a Senate seat, even though the people of Arizona just rejected her for that office.

Arizona’s governor has named Rep. Martha McSally to replace U.S. Sen. Jon Kyl in the U.S. Senate seat that belonged to Sen. John McCain.

Republican Gov. Doug Ducey announced Tuesday that McSally will take over after Kyl’s resignation becomes effective Dec. 31. McSally lost the Senate race to Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema.

McSally will serve until the 2020 election, when voters will elect someone to serve the final two years of McCain’s term.

Here are three videos about McSally.

Stop McSally

Is it any wonder that voters didn’t want her?  Does this demonstrate how little the Republican Reich cares about what voters want?

  1. Oh, Lordy. Another one ! ugh! I echo what David said.

  2. Well, it is a LITTLE bit of a wonder voters didn’t want her in Arizona, which has all the snowbirds who don’t go to Florida (and also has Joe Arpaio.) But turnout was a big factor for Sinema. So we’ll need to keep working to keep turnout high. Incidentally the only difference between Doug Ducey and Steve Doocy politically is the spelling. Both are genuine pieces of work.

  3. Well there goes the neighbourhood!!!

    Republicans, although elected with the same over all mandate as Democrats — represent the electorate — quite obviously DO NOT!  They only represent the 1% and themselves!  They don’t give a rat’s ass about the 99%!!!

  4. To be honest, Gov. Doug Ducey and his minions in Arizona deserve to share places with McSally in your parade, TomCat. She’d been campaigning and from that Duceyknew that this is exactly what Republicans wanted in Congress. Never mind McCain’s family, they don’t mind being slapped in the face, do they? Never mind the voters, they were Democrats anyway and this was such a pleasurable way to screw them.

  5. Well, of course she deserves it.  I mean, after all, she was the “voters’ choice” … in exactly the same way that Twitler was the “voters’ choice”.

    Cone on – get with it … Americans actually voting, electing and ruling by majority vote is so passé

    </snark>

    (Why did she even go to the bother of spending millions to run?  This underhanded, lowlife rethuglican chicanery is SO much easier … AND cheaper!)

  7. She sure has her minuses. Agree with David.

  8. Thanks and hugs to all!
