Good Riddance Upchuckabee

Since he summer of 2017, Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been Press Secretary and Liar in Chief for President Donald Trump, aka Fuhrer Drumpfenfarten.  I call her Upchuckabee, because it best describes what comes out of her mouth, whenever she lies on behalf of her Fuhrer.  I look forward to her departure.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that she would be leaving the White House at the end of 2018 after serving for two years in the administration. She leaves behind a legacy of lying to such a degree it’s become a farce.

Credibility from the press podium has spent the better part of her term falling to 30 percent approval rating, lower than even her boss. According to YouGov surveys, her approval rating among the Millennial Generation is an embarrassing 21 percent.

The survey doesn’t breakdown trustworthiness, but throughout 2018, Huckabee Sanders’ lies from the podium couldn’t have helped with respectability. As we close out the year and the White House career of the staffer Stephen Colbert likes calling HuckaSand, these are the most egregious lies from her podium.

1. Family Separation lies.

During her third daily press briefing in June, Sanders sparred with the press over the children being pulled from their families when they tried to enter the United States and declare asylum. The policy has “been on the books for over a decade,” Sanders said. It hasn’t. The “policy” was enacted as a result of President Donald Trump’s “no-tolerance policy” he wrote into an executive order.

“These people have nothing. They come to the border with nothing, and they throw children in cages,” reporter Brian Karem said to Sanders. “You’re a parent; you’re a parent of young children. Don’t you have any empathy for what they go through?”

Sanders told Karem to “settle down” and accused him of wanted to get on camera.

Reporter Brian Karem repeatedly asks Sarah Sanders about the Trump policy of separating undocumented children from their parents: “Come on, Sarah, you’re a parent. Don’t you have any empathy?”

“Credibility issues are just getting more obvious, and reporters are getting really frustrated with it, and it’s causing tension,” a White House reporter told Politico. “It’s sort of coming to a head. The statements are more disprovable, more obvious.”

  1. Good riddance indeed! And good riddance to Zinke as well. I can hardly wait till we can say good riddance to the Orange Ogre and his toxic swamp!

  2. Not to be a party pooper (yes, I am being one, but that’s not the point), but here we have two more “Be careful what you wish for” moments. If you think Zinke and HuckaSand are the bottom of the barrel, think again. I’ll save my rejoicing until I see what comes next. Remember … after Boehner we got Ryan.

  3. I wonder how much she received for selling her soul to Trump?  I remember Sean Spicer, when confronted about his lies, said that was what he was paid to do by POTUS whether he agreed or not.  Glad to see that Democrats still have their souls when it came to their response to an attempt to gerrymander elections in NJ.

    • I wonder if Trump will move his newly announced new UN ambassador, a Faux Noise alum, over to replace Upchuckabee? She certainly is not qualified to be the UN ambassador but she is qualified to lie voraciously!

  4. One by one……day by day…..they fall.
I really can’t say I’ll miss her either.

  5. The woman brings venality to the legacy of her imbecile father’s presence on the planet.  My concern is about who she will next sully with her negative presence.  And, yes, with Dumphy owning the scoop that scrapes the bottom of the barrel, who knows what sort of slime will be brought on in her, and Zinke’s place?

  6. Neither The New York Times, nor the BBC or ABC mention this and Google tells me that the independent(.co.uk) talks about rumours only:

Rumours are swirling about White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders possibly leaving her role.

The most visible member of the White House has told friends she plans to leave, according to sources who spoke to CBS News.

but the Daily news (December 12) has it that while

Speaking at Politico’s “Women Rule” event Tuesday, Sanders said she hopes she’s remembered as “transparent and honest” when her tenure in the Trump administration is over.

but when asked further on the subject:

As for speculation that she would be the next Trump aide out the door, Sanders said there were no plans for her exit.
“As long as I feel like I’ve been called to the place that I am and I feel I’m an effective messenger for the president — and frankly, he feels like I’m an effective messenger for him — I’d like to continue doing what I do,” she said. “I love my job.”

Wishful thinking on our part or is Drumpf getting tired of her too? With a rating as low as 31% one could expect so, and a denial-tweet from Drumpf himself is of course equally meaningless.

    Let’s wait and see.

    • Raw Story and one organization had it as fact the morning of this post, but I haven’t seen it since.  But I’, not sure it matters, for reason I gave in my original comment.

  7. Wow….I thought I was misreading the title of your post. I was unaware of her plans of leaving..
Wonderful news. I’ll never understand how she could live with herself, knowing that each time she spoke it was all lies covering up for tRump, I certainly won’t be missing her.

  8. Sorry bout that.  I trusted a normally reliable source.  When I’m wrong, I say so. 08
