I’m back in the saddle, but just barely.  I seem to be coming down with a cold, but it may be the air quality warning.  Apparently we’re getting smoke from the CA fires.  My eyes are burning, and I’m congested.  Store to Door is closed for Thanksgiving, so I had to give Safeway.com my grocery order for next week.  I’m getting them delivered Monday, so there is a fall back period, in case they screw it up again.  TGIF!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:03 (average 4:56).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): Fmr. Amb: Reported Trump Devil’s Bargain After Khashoggi Killing Horrendous

Only Republicans would trade an opportunity to murder an innocent, who has resided in the US for 20 years, to a dictator for silence on the murder of another innocent by another dictator. RESIST!!

From YouTube (Daily Kos Channel): Georgia resident discusses voter suppression as a form of voter intimidation (Turn volume way up.)

Lynching certainly isn’t a joke. The Republican Senator from MS openly supported it. RESIST!!

From Alternet: With the memory of the recent anti-Semitic attack at a PIttsburgh synagogue still fresh in the public’s mind, audience members were terrified when a man stood up and screamed "Heil Hitler! Heil Trump!" during a play on Wednesday night in Baltimore, according to a new report in the Washignton Post.

The outburst came at the intermission of a performance of "Fiddler on the Roof," a musical about Jewish traditions. One person told the Post that people began running when the man started shouting.

"The next thing I expected to hear was gunshots, frankly,” Richard Kerr said.

The man was standing and giving a Nazi salute.

I’m sure his idol, the Fuhrer of the Republican Reich, is proud of him. RESIST!!

  1. YT: Between gerrymandering, malfunctioning machines, voter roll purges, Kemp sitting on 53,000 applications, and (thankfully failed) efforts to shut down polls in a majority black county, the monsters of racism and Republican tyranny are running rampant in Georgia. Too bad a lot of people, especially young people, don’t appreciate just how important it is to vote.

This country is sliding backwards, and so is Georgia – but at least Democrats did win some key local races. If that slimeball Kemp is declared the winner, he will not have an easy time.

Alternet: What a scumbag! Not too long ago, comparing tRump to Hitler was unfair to tRump, horrid as the Orange Ogre is. If we don’t watch out, if we don’t maintain our eternal vigilance, comparing tRump to Hitler will be unfair to Hitler. Especially when he gets chummy with nefarious dictators. Maybe I should write “other nefarious dictators” – and be glad that I have friends and family overseas.

  2. 4:18 Brrrrr.

OK, this is funny – or at least “writ ironical.”

Per the WaPo, the people missing in the California Camp Fire are officially decimated: 631 missing, 63 dead. “Decimate” means 10% die. I’m terribly sorry you are getting smoke from it … even though that might be preferable to a cold since at least the wind can change.

Something to look forward to for sure

Lawrence – Well, yeah. That’s exactly whjat people are to Orang Judas and his ilk – bargaining chips. What else is new?

Georgia – They certainly do go hand in hand. I’m not sure whether they are forms of each other, or just twins. Maybe they are “Siamese twins” (no insult to Thailand intended.)

AlterNet – The scariest part about this to me is that RWNJs are PAYING to express their lunacy. This guy PAID for his ticket. Those people who burned thair Nikes PAID for those Nikes. They don”t mind burning their own money of they can just terrorize people.

    Cartoon – Indeed.

  3. MSNBC: Gawd….this is horrible!!! and quite frankly, frightening for this man, Mr. Gulen. How low can dt go? pretty dam low. ugh!!

DK: Good video, Voting is important!!!

AN: Geez, they are emboldened by what dt says/acts, and think that they can get away with their actions. Depressing and very sad.

    Cartoon: Yep!!!

Gosh, I hope you start feeling better, the air quality isn’t good here either with the mold/cedar/oak going on. Hope that you get a chance to relax. Take good care, and Thanks, Tom.

*This just in: “Orrin Hatch wins the Medal of Freedom for screwing his fellow Americans and ‘bravely’ getting away with it.” ~ C.J. J. ~

  4. MSNBC: I swear, dt will do any low and disgusting thing to stay friends with his dictator friends. I hope wiser heads prevail and keep Mr Gulen safe.

DK: Great video. I shared it.

Alternet: I can’t think of anything to add to what already has been said.

I hope you start feeling better soon. Please take care of yourself. I also hope your grocery order is correct. Good thinking to put it in early. Thank you TomCat

  5. MSNBC: Dumpy has no bottom!  Laws, ethics, morals do not have a place in his being.  He has already signaled to the world that anything goes.  I’m willing to bet that the Avenati arrest was run by the Orange turd.  It is what his hero, dead and alive, have done, and do.
DK: Well said!  Abrahams has thrown in the towel, but is suing the state over the gross mis-management of the voting process.
‘Toon: Treason is the reason for the Blue Wave!

    • Abrams, sorry for the typo.

      • Thanks, Mitch for the ‘heads up’ about Ms. Abrams. What a bummer!!!

        • Quote from her email:

“To be clear, this is not a speech of concession. Concession means to acknowledge an action is right, true or proper. As a woman of conscience and faith, I cannot concede. But my assessment is that the law currently allows no further viable remedy.”

  6. Such sad, sad news….. Democrat Stacey Abrams on Friday acknowledged that Republican Brian Kemp will become the next governor of Georgia, ending her bid to become the first black woman in American history to lead a state. I know we will be hearing more of Ms. Abrams in the future!!
    She’s a leader for sure!!

  7. Thank You TC ?

  8. MSNBC: tRump is despicable. Something must be done to the ones who killed Khashoggi, There should be no excuse…nothing…just prosecute the ones who did it.Hiding/keeping this information should be a crime too and that means tRump being prosecuted too.DK: Liked the video. I heard the news about Stacey. Wish more could be done.Glad she will be suing the state.

  9. MSNBC: You heard the joke about three dictators meeting for dinner over the killing of one adversary. Thy all three came out smelling like roses after having another adversary killed and selling each other weapons they then use in the genocide of adversary groups.

DK: Even when you’re very soft spoken you can be spot on.

Alternet: Wish he’d brought the Nazi salute in Germany; he’d be arrested there, it’s still an offence. People like that are sick to the core with hatred.

  10. Thanks and sick hugs. ?

  11. Puzzle — 4:45  T’would be a tad cold today for that here!

MSNBC —  Add conspiracy to the list of charges against Diaper Don if it isn’t already there! . . . conspiracy with a foreign power to pervert US law for the benefit of another foreign power.  As long as Diaper Don is in the WH, the professed values of the US are a joke, IMO!

Daily Kos — This fellow is so spot on.  Abrams did not concede the election as such, but she has moved on to the next step of bringing justice for all Georgians to the people.  Or to put it another way,  she lost the skirmish but the war still rages!
