Here is the one hundred forty-first article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is Republican criminal, racist and Congressman Duncan Hunter. He is so honored for his use of Republican hate to cover up his own crime with lies about his opponent, attempting to hold his seat.

1016HunterRep. Duncan Duane Hunter (R-Calif.), also known as the vaping congressman, is battling for re-election in a traditionally red district east of San Diego after being indicted on charges of using campaign funds for personal expenses.

In an effort to survive in November amid what has been a tough political environment for Republicans in California, Hunter has turned to slinging racist and false attacks against his Democratic opponent, Ammar Campa-Najjar.

A political newcomer, the 29-year-old Campa-Najjar, who is of Palestinian and Latino descent, would be among the youngest members of Congress if elected. He worked in Barack Obama’s administration as a Labor Department public affairs officer, where he carried a federal security clearance.

But Hunter and his campaign are choosing to focus on Campa-Najjar’s controversial family history, accusing him of changing his name to hide his family’s connection to terrorism and seeking to portray him as some sort of Muslim radical who would present a threat to national security… [emphasis added]

Here is the vile campaign ad Hunter ran:

The POS did not allow comments.  Too bad!  I had several.

This is what Campa-Najjar is really like:

I trust our co-administrators and editors will join me in endorsing him for Congress.

As for Hunter, may his parade end at the unemployment office!

RESIST!!

  1. Hmmmph. I don’t doubt Ammar Campa-Najjar is a risk to the security … of DUNCAN HUNTER! Excellent reason to elect him!

  2. I hope that Mr. Campa-Najjar wins!!! VOTE BLUE!! Boo Hiss to Hunter!!

  3. Bright blessings on Campa-Najjar – and poxes on Hunter! How could he approve such a nasty message? Where is his proof of the allegations? He is the pot calling the kettle black – when the pot is a lot blacker. Campa-Najjar comes across as much more reasonable and reliable.

  4. Rep. Duncan Duane Hunter (R-Calif.), also known as the vaping congressman, is battling for re-election in a traditionally red district east of San Diego after being indicted on charges of using campaign funds for personal expenses. If he is indicted on charges, doesn’t that disqualify him from running?

Sounds like Hunter needs to go and become unemployed ASAP! The ad he presented was just simply awful. Makes me think that this has to be one of the most negative ads I have seen in years.

  5. He’s not in my district, so I wont have the opportunity to vote against Hunter. Both Hunter and wife have done so much illegible things that it bothers me again that he even is still in office at all. Why is it that politicians don’t get kicked out of office when they do illegal crimes??? Something sure is mighty wrong with our system? The ads have been very ugly.  I honestly hope Campa-Najjar wins the position. We need to clean up all of the old dirt in our current offices.
    Thanks TomCat

  6. Typical GOPIGGIE POS!
It is a shame that politics seems to attract this kind of manipulative, “It IS all about me,”kind of person!

  7. In any other country the add against Ammar Campa-Najjar would be thrown out of court because it is all lies and untruths. As a matter of fact people like Duncan Duane Hunter wouldn’t even think of running for a seat in Congress after being indicted. To us it is very obvious who is the better choice is; lets hope the good people of their particular district do the same.

  8. A BIG AMEN to what JD said so succinctly: “I don’t doubt Ammar Campa-Najjar is a risk to the security … of DUNCAN HUNTER! Excellent reason to elect him!”

The ad is typically Republican . . . foul lies, deceit, without honour, racist . . . anything to win.  A very sad commentary!  But as Michelle Obama said: “When they go low, we go high!”  Frankly, I think Republicans are afraid of heights!

  9. Thanks, pooped hugs and Amen! 17
