RepublicansOnParade6

Here is the one hundred twenty-eighth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is Republican congressional candidate in Ohio 12th, Troy Balderson.   He is so honored for the normal Republican courage he showed over supporting a Republican pervert  enabler to be Speaker of the House.

0807CowardThe special election for Ohio’s 12th Congressional District takes place Tuesday. And Republicans are increasingly terrified about the prospect of losing yet another reliably conservative seat in a race that is now a tossup.

GOP candidate Troy Balderson, however, also appears to be terrified of tipping his hand about what he would actually do in Congress — starting with whether or not he would back a man mired in a sex abuse scandal for speaker of the House.

In a new video posted by American Bridge, when confronted about Jim Jordan’s run for the speakership, Balderson simply ran away…

When Jordan was Assistant Wrestling Coach at Ohio State University, he enabled the team doctor to abuse wrestlers by covering-up for him.  Now, instead of resigning from Congress, as decency demands, Jordan is running for Speaker of the House. Here’s video of Balderson slinking away, when asked to confirm whether Jordan is his choice for Speaker.

If elected I have no doubt that, if he wins, Balderson will also support the cover-up for another GOP pervert, whose name and tiny hands. etc. shall go unmentioned.

Tomorrow, I hope to report that Danny O’Connor has won the seat and flipped another bright red district.

  1. Many people are now spelling it “Gym Jordan” to prevent forgetting his vile behavior. Not the usual type of name for someone who should never have gone into politics – but very satisfying. I hope to see the same headlines that you are hoping to see.

  2. What a jerk!! (Balderson)

Best to Democrat Danny O’Connor for the WIN !!!!

  3. I’m doing my part here in Georgia, supporting Stacey Abrams for Governor. If elected, she will make some serious history – not just Georgia’s first female governor, not just Georgia’s first non-white governor, but both at the same time! In addition – wait for it – she will be the FIRST BLACK FEMALE GOVERNOR OF ANY U.S. STATE!!! Can you stand the excitement?

  4. So typically Republican to sleek away when the going gets tough. Balderson deserves to lose his seat to O’Connor, may that be your headline tomorrow.

  5. When the going gets tough, Republicans slink back into their shadow world!

I checked earlier Tuesday evening and it appears Balderson won by about 1,500 votes — less than 1% difference.  I’ll have to check tomorrow again.

    This from CBC Wednesday morning:

“The race remained too close to call early Wednesday morning, with 99.9 per cent of votes tallied. …

Balderson was leading O’Connor for a House seat in the special election by less than 1 percentage point by midnight, with 99 per cent of votes tallied….

But what’s telling is how close the race was, given that the state’s Republican governor John Kasich last weekend told ABC News it shouldn’t have even been a tossup. Pundits had said anything less than a seven-point win for Balderson would be an embarrassment.”

And I did not see anything about Davids’ race in Kansas.  Kobach had about 62% of the Republican vote in its gubernatorial primary.  The Democratic primary was much smaller of course.  From the numbers I saw, it’s difficult to see anybody defeating Kobach at this time.  I would love to see someone hand Kobach his dingles on a platter!

  6. Thanks and hot hump day hugs!  See today’s lead article. 11
