It’s that time of week again, so here are three fine video clips from Bill’s show last night.  Enjoy!

Future Headlines

LOL! That’s a good selection, but I’ll miss Bill in July.

Michael Moore: Fahrenheit 11/9

"I’ll join a million other people surrounding the United States Capitol." Amen.

New Rule: Suckers

That’s a great point. The decisions we make collectively are more important to good health than the ones we make individually. May Ginsburg live forever!

Bill had one more clip entitled "Ben Shapiro: Civil Discourse".  Ben is a propagandist for the right, who lectured that liberals should be civil while bending over and grabbing our ankles. I opted not to share it.  Bill argued, but in my opinion, a propagandist endorsing the NRA, Trump’s immigration policy, and Trump’s probable nominees  deserves far less courtesy than Bill gave him.  If you wish to view it, use the Bill’s Show link above.

I’ll miss Bill, even though I do not always agree with him.

  1. Bill – Hey, I used to like GrapeNuts! Of course I’m allergic, but it was a craving-type allergy, probably ro the barley.

Moore – This would be more interesting and more effective if there wasn’t so much of people speaking over each other. Although even then, those who need to listen probably would not. No, we can’t count on Murkowski or Collins, granted. But we just can’t give up because it looks bleak, We HAVE TO try everything we can.

New Rule – Good way to sneak in to this particular effect of climate change. Not to mention the public health effects on personal health.

I actually watched Shapiro – or tried to – I could only get to the 6 minute mark (just over half) and stopped it, thinking, “Well, that’s six minutes I’ll never get back.”

    • Your “RESIST” graphic put a smile on my face as big as the kids have!

      Thanks!  I (we) needed that!

      • YVW.  When I started with the kids and remarked I hoped I didn’t use them all at once, I didn’t mean I was hoping for a distraction, but for actual improvement.  But it is what it is.

  2. Bill: Love the Headines, hilarious!

#2. Get to the Polls and Vote!!

Suckers: Good descriptions of the rethuglacons! I read Jim Fixx’s ‘Book of Running’ back when I was running between 3-5 miles a day, and running half marathons. I was devastated when I heard the news, of him dying of a heart attack. I don’t run anymore, dammit! as I have arthritis. It’s a ‘B’ getting old.

    Thanks, Tom for post.

    *Joanne, your graphic is adorable!!

  3. ‘Book of Running’, me too Pat!!!

Bill, brilliant as usual, especially the last vid!!!

  4. Bill #1: Marvelous!  Maybe we should all play it daily, while he is off the air.
Bill and MM: I’m glad I watched, having been tempted to say, “Well, I saw him on the other show, yesterday(?). He is so on target!!
Bill#3; Long live David crosby, and RBG!!!!!!!!!!  I just finished a great book, Douglas Preston’s “the Lost City of the Monkey God,” a true story, in which he participated in an archeological discovery in the very, very deep jungles of Honduras.  He and a number of others on the journey there wound up with bites from sand flies.  Sand flies transmit Leishmaniasis, one of whose strains is virtually always deadly.  Despite the BS from Scott Pruitt ( what is it with the politicians named “Scott?”), global warming is clearly here, and man made (No s**t Sherlock!) and Leishmaniasis has been found in Oklahoma, (Pruitt’s home state) and Texas, near Dallas.  The, then at least, state epidemiologist, Dr. Kristy Bradley, told Preston that when “…her team moaned leash cases in the United States over time, they revealed an inexorable spread northeastward across Texas and Oklahoma, aiming for other states in a northeasterly direction.   Why?   Her answer was immediate: “Climate change.”  As of publication of the book January of 2017, “The sand fly genus known to spread this kind of leish has now been found in the United States five hundred miles northwest and two hundred miles northeast of its previously established range.”  In Oklahoma, cases were reported, and studied in McCurtain County, and in the Dallas-Ft.Worth area in the early200’s.
If anyone has access to contacting Michael Moore, please ask him to consider doing a documentary about leash and climate change…soon!

  5. The case report on the leish can be found at: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3541728/

  6. Bill Maher #1: Oh, no! This was the last one for the season? How am I going to get through July. Well, actually with a lot less guilty conscience for watching him while the packing is on hold.
Bill may be right that Sara Huckabee-Sanders will be in the news a lot again, depending on how ballistic her boss goes in the coming month, and Obama will finally say what we’ve all been saying for two years now.

Bill Maher #2: Bill’s right of course, Drumpf will appoint a new justice that will stand behind him and McConnell will make sure the vote is passed before the August recess or at least before the midterms to make sure the vote is in Drumpf’s and the GOP’s favor. If Americans do not want this to happen at least a million people need to surround the United States Capitol. Get organized, forget about permits, book those coaches, Drumpf is going to announce his candidate soon (9 July).

Bill Maher #3: A New Rules worthy of a seasons’s finale. I’ve bookmarked it to re-play when American politics – and that of the right-wing in the rest of the world – is getting me down.

  7. #1 — I have loved Grape Nuts since I was a young child but now I don’t think I’ll be able to see it quite the same way!

#2 — I love Michael Moore!  I doubt his new film will make it up here, but I won’t be travelling south to see it.  It would be so cool to see a million or more people surrounding the WH.  Drumpf and Republicans need to stop and take note . . . the majority of We the People are not with you!

#3 — Excellent treatise on the environment . . . and funny!  Great call out to RBG!  Love that woman.

  8. Thanks and rushed hugs to all! 23
