By way of explanation, my building takes several temporary RCP residents.  They are street people that have no place to go, when they are released from hospitals.  While they are here Central City Concern tries to get them into programming, but most care only about getting high.  After they are back on their feet, they move on.  Many are so addled that they have no idea how to live in decent facilities.  Most of the kitchen fires here come from RCP trying to cook when too loaded to do so.  Does that make it more clear?  WWWendy is due in 30 minutes.

WWWendy just left.  Chores all done.  She says Hi.

From YouTube (Parody Project Channel): SAD WORLD (Parody of) Mad World (9/25/2017)

All that seems so mild compared to how much Trump has devolved since. RESIST!! VOTE!!

From Washington Post: Just before Christmas, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pulled up to the massive Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, a California state prison complex in the desert outside San Diego that holds nearly 4,000 inmates. Kennedy was there to visit Sirhan B. Sirhan, the man convicted of killing his father, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, nearly 50 years ago.

While his wife, the actress Cheryl Hines, waited in the car, Kennedy met with Sirhan for three hours, he revealed to The Washington Post last week. It was the culmination of months of research by Kennedy into the assassination, including speaking with witnesses and reading the autopsy and police reports.

“I got to a place where I had to see Sirhan,” Kennedy said. He would not discuss the specifics of their conversation. But when it was over, Kennedy had joined those who believe there was a second gunman, and that it was not Sirhan who killed his father.

“I went there because I was curious and disturbed by what I had seen in the evidence,” said Kennedy, an environmental lawyer and the third oldest of his father’s 11 children. “I was disturbed that the wrong person might have been convicted of killing my father. My father was the chief law enforcement officer in this country. I think it would have disturbed him if somebody was put in jail for a crime they didn’t commit.”

In my opinion, one of the things that JFK, RFK and MLK have in common is that all were murdered by the Republican Reich. RESIST!! VOTE!!

From Crooks and Liars: Is the Republican National Committee offering wealthy Chinese investors access to Trump in exchange for campaign contributions?

Nooooooooo. I mean, why WOULD they? That would be improper. Illegal, even! Pay no attention to that letter with "the insignia of a real Republican committee raising money for the party and President Trump’s reelection campaign, it purported to offer a handshake and a one-on-one photo with the president for $100,000 — a “VIP” trip “to be remembered for a lifetime.” That’s all completely innocent, and the RNC knows nothing about that, they promise!

Also, completely innocuous is the upcoming fundraiser on May 31st! Ignore, if you would, the two Chinese companies charging two or three times the price of the campaign fundraiser’s ticket, promising access to and photos with the president of the United States. The RNC knows noooooothing about that.

And the emoluments march on. RESIST!! VOTE!!

  1. 5:37 Fish maybe.

I figured the fire thing was something like that. And that would make it difficult to manage for sure.

PP – It’s surely amazing what a good imitation Don can do of a psychopathic idiot when he is the exact opposite.

WaPo – I agree with you – always have – but wow, is the devil ever in the details.

C&L – And by all means ignore the man behind the curtain. I’m working on another meme that would go with this, but all in due time.

Cartoon – Again, yes. And this time for real. And for keeps.

For all the chilren being separated from their parents at the border, and especially for the almost 1500 who are missing –

    RESIST AND PERSIST !!!

  2. PPC: Sad. Yes, it’s a sad world.

WP: I agree with your reflection, as I’ve had the same thoughts even watching those events happen as a youngster. These men, and what they stood for, and speaking to the American people about different topics, were murdered. I hope that Robert finds out something, as it would be interesting to read. It’s truly an abomination that these three men were killed for what they believed and understood to be the truth.

Cartoon: Yeah, ain’t that the truth? Sad.

Bummer about the kitchen fires. Y’all run a health/safety risk, imho. Hope that you have a relaxing evening, take good care, and Thanks, Tom. *Company coming in for the Holiday, gotta clean house, and cook. lol.

  3. C&L: tRump beholden to wealthy Chinese investors? Perish the thought! 😀
Cartoon: Next we need to sink the Rethuglicanazi party beneath a Blue Wave.

  4. Thanks for the explanation, TC.

  5. “In my opinion, one of the things that JFK, RFK and MLK have in common is that all were murdered by the Republican Reich.”
    ABSOLUTELY!!!

  6. When it comes to those in RCP I always think, as I’m sure we all do, “But for the grace of God …”

It only takes one medical (or other category) tragedy to put us in harms way.

  7. PP: Great rendering of one of my favorite songs, but I expect the text would have been bleaker if written now instead of almost a year ago.

WP: I think you’re right about the forces behind JFK’s, RFK’s and MLK’s murder, but I wonder if the time for opening up a new investigation has not been long gone. The Republicans are still the major force to overcome to get an investigation going and by the time Drumpf has installed all his new right-wing judges, it’ll be even harder to get Sirhan’s conviction overturned. But perhaps RFK jr. only wants to step into his fathers footsteps by getting noted for it.

C&L And I’m sure the RNC knows noooothing of some of this “Chinese” campaign money going straight into Drumpf pockets. The same way they know nothing money ends up there after Drumpf joins weddings at Mar-a-lago for a photo shoot. Or takes his official foreign guests to stay there, or compels their entourage to stay in one of his hotels, or…

I suppose there’s no problem with giving temporary shelter to RCP residents, but they should be adopting these units to the needs of the individual resident, so no cooking facilities but some meals delivered to start with.

  8. Puzzle — 4:09  Don’t get too wet looking for the fish!  You know you don’t like water Puddy Tat when you have to immerse yourself.

Parody Project — Good imitation of the Orange Ogre right down to the frown at the end!  But with Drumpf, the realDonaldTrump is more than enough!

Washington Post — “In my opinion, one of the things that JFK, RFK and MLK have in common is that all were murdered by the Republican Reich.” — AMEN!!!  I was in grade 6 the day JFK was assassinated, and in grade 11 when RFK and MLK were assassinated so I was not ‘into’ US politics as such yet.  But since then, well let’s just say I’ve done some reading etc.  If you look at the names together — Kennedy, Kennedy, King (KKK) — it would not surprise me to see white supremacists behind some of the dirty work.  The criminal Tricky Dicky (Nixon) was a racist and was defeated by JFK, and RFK was his AG.  King was the leader and face of the civil rights movement.  This just theory but it would not surprise me at all.

Crooks and Liars — So “the emoluments march on” but I’ll bet that Drumpf won’t show for the photo op with people that are other than Caucasian.  Mind, the only colour other than white that Drumpf likes is green, and there will be plenty of that!  I wonder if the RNC has promised “special visas” to try to get around the illegality of foreign money?  And the beat goes on . . . crooks and liars indeed!!!

Cartoon —  May the Drumpf régime be renamed the “Drumpf Bismark” and sunk.  Drumpf has and is already doing his part, that of Admiral Günther Lütjens, making gross miscalculations.  Wikipedia has a fascinating read about the sinking of the Bismark.

Well I hope you had a good sleep on Saturday night!  I did not!!!  In fact, although I tried, all sleep eluded me.  In exasperation, I finally got up and did some reading in hopes that I’d fall asleep.  Nope!  Finally, last night I did get some sleep, about 8 hours worth.

I see nothing wrong with renting facilities to RCP residents.  But if helping these people is more than a roof and bed.  I am going to sound like socialist — hell I am a democratic socialist! — but these people need better support.  Too often they don’t have the skills at hand to survive and will just return to their old ways.

    • I’m all for giving them the help they need, but in many cases that is involuntary commitment or at least, long term inpatient care.  Republicans put many on the street under the Ray Gun Regime.  And sadly, many prefer that life style. 01

  9. Thanks all.  Tiring hugs! 19
