It’s another hot, busy day here at the CatBox.  I’m waiting for Store to Door to deliver my grocery order.  They are due any time now.  After I unpack and stow them, I’ll have lunch and finish here.  Next, I have a letter to write to the Parole Board on behalf of one of my guys.  This evening WWWendy comes to destink a very needy TomCat.  Happy Hump Day to all, but be warned.  The Psychiatrist General has determined that Trump Humping is hazardous to your brain.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:22 (average 5:16).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (Inequality Media Channel): Beyond Trump: A Federal Jobs Guarantee

The Reich on the Left is right. The Reich on the Right is Republican. We need either Robert’s plan, or a guaranteed living minimum income. RESIST!!

From YouTube (MSNBC Channel): Stacey Abrams Makes History With Georgia Win

Excellent! Not only is she a true progressive and an authentic Democrat, but also, she has the balls to RESIST!!

From The New Yorker: Donald J. Trump said on Monday that he is “a-hundred-per-cent positive” that an F.B.I. informant infiltrated his 2016 campaign but that he has “absolutely no idea” who that mole might be.

“I’ve been trying to figure out who would have the opportunity and the motive to do something like this,” he said. “But I keep coming up empty.”

“Opportunity-wise, you’d need to be someone who’s in my inner circle and who could get close to me without raising suspicions,” he said. “But, then again, the person would have to be able to suddenly disappear for periods of time and report back to the F.B.I. I can’t think of anyone in a position to do that.”

Andy has a guess!

  1. 5:58 I’m not too worried about this. Cats are smarter than to chase cars.

Surely Trump Humping is hazardous to multiple parts of brain and body – no?

Reich – “Bullshit jobs” is another type of job that’s becoming prevalent. “Busy work” we used to call it. It’s always seemed to me it would make more sense to pay, creative people especially, just for breathing and give them the freedom to explore their own imagination – which would likely benefit everyone in the long run. Republicans, of course, would mock that.

Stacey Abrams – Yes indeed. I wish her the very best. I know this is Georgia … but I do feel she has a chance. I don’t want to sound patronizing, because I certainly don’t feel patronizing, but black women voters are – have proven to be – a wonderful investment for Democrats.

Afterthought: so interesting that she quoted the Book of Esther. Someone over at Sojourners was pointing out that Esther was definitely a minority … whereas the white women who voted for Trump more resemble Zeresh in the same book.

TNY – Tee Hee! Wouldn’t that explain a lot!

Cartoon – Well, in a way he was a tragic loss, though not the way you elephant means it. “Justice must not only be done, but be seen to be done.” Through his suicide we lost his testimony, his conviction, and his sentencing.

  2. IMC: Great video by Mr. Reich

MSNBC: WooHoo!!! WTG!! Ms. Abrams! Amy McGrath, and Lupe Valdez, got the nod too! WTG, Ladies!!! (Women got balls!!) 😉

    NYer: Word!! LOL, Andy!!

Cartoon: UGH! Yea….Himmler was Hitler’s Reichsführer, the second most powerful man in Nazi Germany. Rather than succumb to a hangman’s noose after being captured, he took the sniveling coward’s way out and bit a cyanide pill.

Hi, Wendy, wrapping up for summer from school? Ain’t that the truth, about the dt humping, there’s plenty out there, what a sicko. Hope you have a good evening, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  3. ‘Toon: I am sure the GOPIGS would say the same thing about him that they have said about Putin: “My kind of leader!”Some of you might be interested in reading this book: “The Himmler Brothers,” by Katrin Himmler.  I believe she is his niece.
    IMC: Right on!
Kudos to Abrams!!  Is it possible, ironically, that the piss and crap coming from the Orange Beasty, helped pave the way for this victory?
New Yorker:  Would that not be some wonderful form of justice, or what?

  4. Now trying to get back in the swing of things.

Had my biannual endoscopy on Monday (I have GERD) that kinda wiped me out.  Think a third-year resident, who first came in to see me, repeated the procedure after my GI doc because for the first time my abdomen was sore (still is – but getting better).  You got to learn some way, so as long as no permanent damage I’m willing to be a learning tool.  But he certainly lacks a finesse touch at this point.

Then I spent yesterday afternoon power-washing the front walk and backyard patio.

And today I spent the afternoon putting down the Decra-Seal sealer on the stamped concrete front & back.

It’s about the only outdoor chore (like being DONE with cleaning the bathrooms) that I enjoy – because it looks so nice afterwards … at least for a little while.  But I have to do it every year!  But I cleared my “Must-Do” list that is really tied to being Goldilocks weather.  Can’t be too hot or too cold.  Can’t be wet – actually, at all.  Sometimes in spring it’s hard to fine two days in a row when there is virtually NO chance of rain.

    • Sounds like you’re getting in the swing of things again, Nameless. For as far as your rookie endoscopy allowed you, that is. But better somewhat painfully safe than sorry, eh?

Did Nike attack you again after you came in from the garden?

      • NO! Nike did NOT attack! I might have found a trick that so far seems to be working.

I’ve mentioned how happy he is to see me when I come back from an overnight trip – or even an extra long errand when I’m gone for hours.

So now when I have outside chores to do (mowing, gardening, power-washing, etc.) I back the car out of the garage down the driveway – go about my business – and when done, start the car up again and pull into the garage!

Seems like he thinks I’m coming back from a prolonged absence, and if not ecstatic to see me, at least does NOT attack me.

This has worked a good half-dozen times so far … keeping my fingers crossed it continues!

        • Great trick. Perhaps when he hasn’t heard the car pull back up in the garage, he thinks someone else is entering the house and defends the territory against intruders. Cats do have a very bad memory when it’s not of interest to them.

        • Oh, brilliant!  And so simple – as truly  brilliant discoveries often are.  Good luckwith it continuing to work; I have high hopes!

    • I suffered for years from GERD.  When I learned how to manage stress, it left, and I now have a cast iron gut, without which I could not manufacture green clouds. 18

  5. IM: Of course Reich’s Federal Jobs Guarantee makes a lot of sense, but never to Republican ears. I can hear their “Socialist”, or equally bad in their mind “Commie” cries of outrage already. And then point to Democrats as the one who want to increase the deficit. 26

MSNBC: Now that is inspired speech making. A speech about what matters in Georgia and straight from the heart. I’m keeping fingers and toes crossed for Stacy Abrams to win that race! I think it’s important that she is the first African-American woman to get the Democratic nomination, but most importantly for me is she is a progressive who talks the talk very well, but also seems to walks the walk. If she wins, I wish her all the best in a job that is going to be tough not in the least because she is a female African-American Democratic governor in Georgia.

TNY: Splendid use of text “inconspicuously” introduced by a photograph of someone in typical spy attire (trench coat and sunglasses), Andy! ?

Cartoon: Himmler took the coward’s way out. My guess is that anyone indicted by Mueller is even too cowardly for that.

  6. Ohhhhh BARF the trump vid & meme!!! ?
