WWWendy w/Wings will be here in a few minutes, so I’ll have to finish and publish after she leaves.  I sproinged ahead and am feeling out of sorts.  We ought to get to fall back twice a year. Smile with tongue out

I fed Wendy pizza! ?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (SNL Channel): Sasquatch

Anytime SNL features a Squatch, I just have to share it, even if she can’t see it.

From Washington Post: President Trump on Saturday again called for enacting the death penalty for drug dealers during a rally meant to bolster a struggling GOP candidate for a U.S. House seat here.

It would be most acceptable, if he were talking about major pharmaceutical manufacturers, but shouldn’t the death penalty be limited to Resident traitors that have sold out the US to Russia? RESIST!!

From Politico: Sen. Elizabeth Warren insisted Saturday that she was not running for the White House in 2020, but the Massachusetts Democrat repeatedly dodged on whether she would serve her full six-year term if she wins re-election to the Senate this November.

“I am in this fight to retain my Senate seat in 2018. That’s where I’m focused,” Warren told NBC’s “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd, in an interview scheduled to air in full on Sunday. “That’s where I’m going to stay focused. I’m not running for president.”

Asked repeatedly if she would serve a full six-year term if re-elected, Warren said she was not running for president and would fight “for the people of Massachusetts, and for the people across this country.”

Bear in mind that, if Warren were to say now that she will run for President in 2020, she would likely lose her Senate seat in 2018. We must wait and see. RESIST!!

  1. 5:06 Fingers frozen.

SNL – Sasquatches have Republicans too? Thank God ours isn’t like that.

WaPo – Yeah. Seven years is not nearly enough for Shkreli, even if he were to serve the whole thing.

Politico – Just a comment that we Democrats – the entire party – don’t just have disagreements on what we want in a President (or Senator, or Representative); we also have disagreements on which candidates are or are not electable. (And also, though I for one am just barely beginning to see it, on which candidates would have their hands tied if elected.)

    Cartoon – Yup.

  2. The Orange Ogre calling for dope dealers to get the death penalty? He should start with greedy Big Pharma CEOs who jack up the prices of life-saving drugs.
Right now we need the best Democrats to either retain their seats in Congress, or gain them.
    Cartoon: All too true.

  3. SNL: LOL
WP: Yea, let’s start with the Big Pharma, and their enabling the high cost of life saving drugs that folks need in order to stay alive and survive day to day, and in the same breath, go after the traitor in the WH, with his cronies.

Politicio: “I am in this fight to retain my Senate seat in 2018. That’s where I’m focused.” Ms. Warren said. I respect her wishes, we need her in the Senate, for now.

    Cartoon: Yea!

I’m not a big DST fan. When we lived in AZ, we didn’t have it. MA, HI, and PR (and some territories) don’t have this either. I’m all for not having it. period.

Hope that you have a relaxing evening, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  4. SNL: Sasquatch? That portrayal is an insult to Sasquatches and ours in particular. Looked more like the average male Republican to me.

WP: Gee, wouldn’t Drumpf love to go drug-dealer/user-hunting with Duarte. A president rallying up even more bloodthirstiness in his ammosexual base by calling for the death penalty for drug dealers is beyond repulsive.

Politico: Elizabeth Warren is absolutely right to focus on getting as many Democrats in Congress as possible and her Senate seat is just one of the many that need to be filled with progressive Democrats. There’s more than enough turmoil in the Democratic party right now without the 2020 presidential election adding to the distraction. Getting Congress out of the claws of Republicans is what is of vital importance right now and Liz, for one, knows that all to well.

Cartoon: Some states still haven’t relinquished it.

Some extra nap time for you at the start of DST, TomCat.

  5. SNL: Can that be called cute?
    WP: Jackass!
    Politico: Standard operating procedure.
    ‘Toon: Their wet dream!

  6. SNL — That’s not fair when I can’t watch a Republican Neanderthal dressing up as an honourable Sasquatch!  You know, the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” trick!  This social democrat Squatch is appalled at the brazen imitation, but not surprised!  Sasquatches of the world unite as social democrats!

WaPo — Drumpf: ““The only way to solve the drug problem is through toughness. When you catch a drug dealer, you’ve got to put him away for a long time.””

Surprise, surprise!  I disagree with him!  How about tackling the social issues that drive drug using people into the addiction in the first place!  How about treating drug addiction as a major health issue in a similar way Portugal does.  Those actions would reduce the market for drug traffickers.  All Drumpf’s plan would do is increase the profits for the privately run prisons and drain the treasury of money as it costs money for the due process to wind down . . . appeals etc.  But then, isn’t that what Republicans are good at . . . wasting money?

Politico — “… if Warren were to say now that she will run for President in 2020, she would likely lose her Senate seat in 2018.” — I agree.  Keep the focus where it is needed . . . 2018 mid terms!

Cartoon — If Republicans are not tossed out in the 2018 mid terms, then gutting of the current constitution is more likely to happen!  The confederate constitution to be implemented shortly thereafter.

Sorry I am so late checking in.  I was so sleep deprived that I kept falling asleep yesterday, and I slept late this morning.  Add to that a bit of “excitement” when I saw a woman collapse in the middle of a busy intersection right in front of me.  On went the four way flashers and I went to her assistance.  Another young couple walking in the cross walk stopped and called 911 while I calmed the lady and was able to administer her asthma inhaler.  Response by rescue teams was quick and she was ok.  My car was blocking some of the traffic so it was a snarled mess, but I did not care at the time.  This lady’s life was and is more important.  Apparently this happens to her even at home.  Anyway, she is OK.

  7. Thanks all.  Sproinged Hugs! 26
