Follow the Money!

Resident Donald Trump is so totally corrupt that he runs the US just like he ran Trump University.  If he were a President, not just a Resident infesting the White House, he would be the most corrupt President in US history.  To find multiple examples of scandal, one need look no further than his son-in-law, Jared "666" Kushner.

Jared Kushner has problems.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators are reportedly interested in the senior White House adviser for a plethora of reasons — including, but not limited to, the central topic of whether the Trump team worked with Russia to interfere with the 2016 campaign.

Meanwhile, Kushner’s security clearance was recently downgraded. For unclear reasons, the FBI has refused to grant him full “top secret” status — throwing his position in the White House into doubt.

Additionally, and probably not coincidentally, more and more questions have been raised about Kushner’s efforts in recent years to drum up investments in his family’s real estate projects — and whether those efforts inappropriately overlapped with his work in the Trump transition or White House.

This week alone, the New York Times reported that Kushner’s family business got big loans from two US financial institutions shortly after he met with their executives in the White House, and the Washington Post reported that foreign officials have discussed using his business entanglements to manipulate him, and NBC News reported Mueller is asking whether the Kushner business influenced Trump’s foreign policy. Meanwhile, and separately from Mueller’s probe, federal prosecutors and state regulators have both recently sought documents on Kushner Companies’ finances.

Looming over so much of this is the fact that the Kushner company owes $600 million on a money-losing Manhattan tower that’s fully due in just one year. The Kushners have spent much of the past few years trying to get wealthy foreigners to finance an expensive redevelopment plan for the property — but so far, all those efforts have failed…

Now, Kushner alone, makes this one of the most scandal ridden governments in US history, but he is just the tip of the iceberg.  Rachel Maddow has tied together many of the recent "follow the money" stories the Republican Reich is inflicting on us.

As we move into the 2018 midterms we must get out the vote to remove the Republican Party, first from power, but ultimately, from existence.  May our great grandchildren survive to ask, "What was a Republican?"

RESIST THE REPUBLICAN REICH!!

  1. The Orange Ogre’s regime is so corrupt, I can get a whiff of the stench all the way down here in Atlanta!

  2. Un.Believable!!!! Mr. Mueller is very, very busy these days. The address is evil as is all this information re: Kusher and his daddy.

  3. Rachel also interviewed Jane Mayer (of the New Yorker) last night over two segments – the first focused on Steele, and the second on who knew (and more to the point who DIDN’T know) the FBI was already investigating Trump.

    WARNING:  Barf bag alert below:

When I was five (and still had my tonsils because it was out of fashion to remove them), my doctor told my mother they should be removed.  Because, as I say, removing them was not in fashion, she asked something like “Are you sure?”  He responded, “Mrs. S, if I just touch them, pus comes out.”  The Trump regime (I won’t call it an administration) is much like that, and also needs to be taken out.  Preferably, in this case, without anesthetic.

  4. Kushner and tDump, meant for each other, just like barf and bag!

  5. Look at Jared’s eyes!

Maybe it’s just me, but the Javanka with the “Y” chromosome has dead eyes – just like those eyes of the shark in “Jaws”

(Then again … that should probably NOT surprise anyone.)

    • Who in the Trump regime, including the Princess, does NOT have dead eyes?  I haven’t found one yet.  (And you remind me of how Rex Stout once described a villain in the Nero Wolfe series – quoting from memory, but the meaning is intact:  Arnold Zeck’s eyes had started out with an error; someone had given him sharks’ eyes instead of human eyes.  They did not now look like sharks’ eyes, because Arnold Zeck had been using them for forty years, and that made a difference.)

  6. America has a terrible case of tonsillitis, (? Joanne) and those puss-oozing tonsils should have been taken out before they infected the whole system. I remember we discussed Mr. Icahn here when Drumpf was drooling over him during his campaign and then gave him that weird position in the White House which immediately exposed his huge conflict of interest that made him run for the hills. “Follow the money” resonated loud on Politics Plus pages, but it took an overburdened and understaffed Mueller to start investigating it, and only now are federal prosecutors and state regulators delving into Kushner Companies’ finances. I hope they do the same for Drumpf’s companies.

The Drumpf/Kushner clan had more than a year to pull off their financial scams and it seems that both are still at it, Kushner because he is frantically trying to prevent himself and his family from going down in a massive billion dollar bankruptcy and Drumpf out of sheer arrogance and stupidity, so there seem to be no end in sight to the investigations. I hope Mueller and other prosecutors will indict all of them as soon as they have enough and meanwhile keep on digging to add further charges at a later date, as Mueller did with Mannafort. But it must come soon, before the sepsis has reached America’s toes. I’m afraid it already has tainted its heart.

  7. Thanks, hugs, and pooped Amen to all. 29
