This could not  have happened to a more homophobic Republican pseudo-Christian (the opposite of an authentic Christian).

[V]ice President Mike Pence’s Christmas vacation in Aspen was protested by the neighbors next to the private home in which he was staying.

A rainbow flag with the words “Make America Gay Again” was posted at the end of the driveway to both houses, the Aspen Times reports.

The banner was hung by the daughters of the homeowners — and one of their girlfriends.

“You couldn’t miss it,” Pitkin County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Buglione explained.

Deputy Buglione explained the homeowners brough chili and corn muffins to the deputies and Secret Service agents posted.

“They’ve been really nice to us,” Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo…

Republicans are calling this priceless gag a "vicious attack" against Pence.  Kudos to the protestors that did it!

  1. I know what you mean, Tomcat. I’m not sure if 10% of Christians (or, at least, people who call themselves Christians) are giving the remaining 90% of Christians a crappy name, or if 90% of Christians are giving the remaining 10% of Christians a crappy name. I hope that the former is the case.

    • Freya, imho, there pseudo christians (name only but don’t follow the teachings of Christ) and then there are authentic Christians who try to live as Christ taught.  Pence and most Republican lawmakers fall into the pseudo category.  There was a message on the sign at my church which read:

If your faith tells you to hate anyone, then you’re doing it wrong.

  2. Now, they’re my kind of Neighbors!!!Pretty dam sweet!!!

  3. What about “hanging a flag” is VICIOUS? I think that his attitude towards the LGBTQ community is VICIOUS! Now, how bout that, Mr. pence?

  4. I bet he is staying for free too.

  5. Well, maybe he should have done more research before settling on Aspen for a winter vacation!  Lots of money there, yes, but liberals too.  He should have gone to Whitefish, Montana.  They’d love him there (well, some would.  Even there there are SOME sane people.)

  6. This is just an ‘ordinary’ gay flag, with an indirect reference to Drumpf, just like so many flags carried in demonstrations against the Drumpf regime. Pence’s name wasn’t on it, but still the rabid right calls it “a vicious attack on Pence”. I guess that shoe must have fitted really well then.

Love the way the sheriff was all complements for those neighbours looking after the men and women out there in the cold watching out for Pence’s security. I’m sure they were taken better care of by those “libruls” than by Pence’s host. Kudos to those “libruls” for putting up the flag and showing some humanity towards security.

  7. Thanks and hugs to all! 18

  8. I read about this 2 days ago and absolutely cracked up.

Kudos to the young ladies who spoke their minds (and mine!) politely and non violently!

I agree with Vivian and Lona!  If Republicans want vicious, how about white nationalists at Charlottesville in 2017, or how about Republicans cutting back or cutting out programmes  (ie CHIP, Obamacare) that Americans depend on.  These aren’t vicious attacks?!?

(So ecstatically happy that these young ladies did not remain silent!)

  9. Re: Vicious- any adjective the GOPigs use in regard to others is a reflection of their inner being!
One must be aware that Pence is in the pockets of the Koch machine!

  10. Love it!
