From Washington Post: Congressional Republicans secured enough support Friday to pass their massive tax plan, a measure that would deliver a major legislative victory to President Trump and his GOP allies and make tax changes affecting nearly every American family and business.
Passage appeared certain after two critical holdouts, Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), said they would vote for the bill next week.
They know what they are doing to America. They know they are bankrupting people. They know they are murdering people. They know they are making children go hungry. They don’t care. We must hang this around their necks, until me drive them the way of the Whigs. The survival of The Republican Party and that of the USA are mutually exclusive. RESIST!!
From NY Times: The House Intelligence Committee is racing to complete its investigation of Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, scheduling a host of witness interviews here and in New York for next week as Congress heads for its break, and, Democrats said, leaving other leads unfollowed.
Some of the most important witnesses are to be interviewed in New York by committee staff early next week, possibly leaving Democrats to choose between attending those depositions or voting on the massive tax bill coming before the House.
And in an indication that Republicans hope to wrap up their probe, the House committee has yet to schedule a single interview after the holidays, according to two committee officials familiar with the schedule. That has left Democrats fearful that the majority is trying to finish the investigative portion of its work by the end of next week, before the committee can connect the dots on one of the most serious efforts by a hostile foreign actor to hijack American democracy.
“I feel no need to apologize for concluding an investigation,” said Representative Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, one of the Republicans leading the investigation.
This is what they’re up to. When they are "done", Gowdy can declare Putin’s Piddle Puppet innocent, opening up more attacks on and possible action against Mueller. RESIST!!

WaPo – I don’t know how many people here have heard of Ady Barkan, a young man who was perfectly healthy a year ago and now has ALS, already severe enough that he cannot lift his 18-month-old son. Monday is his 34th birthday. The only gift he is asking is for people to drop by the district offices of their Republican Senators and Representatives with pictures of their families attached to notes explaining how the family will be harmed by the tax scam. More info and addresses of local offices here. Yes, I know they already know, but this is at lease one way of hangin it around their next, especially if people also to the Twitter follow-up he also recommends.
NYT – Yes. Adam Schiff did a Twitter rant on this, which has been cited/quoted on Daily Kos. I am sure Mueller is very aware of this. I read somewhere Flynn has been talking to Eric Schneiderman all week, for one thing. Yes, we need to be aware of this, and yes, we need to hang this too around the neck of the GOP, but I don’t think we need to panic yet.

I knew that the repukkklicanTs wouldn’t find him guilty of anything but they would find Mueller to be “wasting money” by the score! He was “the best they can get” back when he was appointed! He was a republican that had all the right qualifications to be in their crappy little “investigation” that we knew when it started that it would never find ANYTHING he could be guilty of! Jeez! Just another “follow the leader” kind of investigation! Ain’t gonna be NO charges against tRump in this CRAP! UGH!

The House Intelligence Committee is in a hurry to not expose its complicity with Drumpf and his Russian puppet master, well the Republicans anyway. Republicans are so transparent in their partisanship.

Lie to them, tax them, throw them to the random vagaries of disease processes with no hope of help. Lie to them screw them, remove their social supports, and then laugh at their helplessness; blame them for their helplessness, tell them that they must be sinful, or they would not be helpless and sick, and poor, and addicted while making Purdue Pharmaceuticals, and the Sackler family rich. Lie to them, steal from them, blame them, laugh all the way to the off-shore bank! Lie to them, fire Mueller, remind them how we love Putin’s governing style, how he “Gets things done.” Lie to them, let them forget that the Koch boys founded the Libertarian Party, how liberty means preserving our rights to walk over theirs, leaving us at liberty to screw them some more, how we are the riders, and they are the donkeys, and then tell them to have a “blessed day.”
Did I leave out any other GOPIG words of grace…to be said as the GOPIGS sit down to their version of “Giving thanks” for 2017?
