From The New Yorker: In what might be his most startling allegation against his former election opponent, Donald Trump on Wednesday accused Hillary Clinton of deliberately losing the 2016 election just so that he could be impeached.
“How could one of the most experienced politicians in history lose to the most unfit candidate ever?” Trump asked reporters. “Crooked Hillary lost on purpose because she wanted me to be impeached.”
Explaining Clinton’s motives for intentionally sabotaging her quest for an office she had coveted for decades, Trump said, “Hillary Clinton is more than a nasty woman. She is an evil woman, and her sick mind is capable of anything.”
Trump said that instead of reporting the “fake story” of his campaign’s collusion with the Russians, the media should focus on Clinton’s “diabolical scheme to lose the election.”

Already contacted my congress-critters about no more tax cuts for the rich. Meanwhile, I’d love some pointers on how to deal with people who parrot the same-old “don’t punish people for earning more” yip-yap.
It’s a great question. One way to do it is to put it in a position of roommates where one person is not paying the rent, or continually coming up short while paying something. Of course this works best if you start with the roommate situation first, and only after getting agreement that that’s wrong, ask them to explain why this is different from people who won’t pay their fair share of taxes – and, even so, it won’t work with everyone. But then, nothing works with everyone. Incidentally, did you see J.K. Rowling’s twitter response to Donnie Dork Jr’s Hallowe’en tweet?
It is not punishing the rich to ask them to pay more to maintain the system that enabled them to earn more, and benefited them more than it did those who earn less.

Politico – I did and do respect Donna, and not least for courage. Yes, this is indeed heartbreaking. I does prove that Bernie has always put country before party, which I never doubted. The only other bright spot is the support it provides for your contention, with which I have always agreed, that we don’t protect wrong-doing and wrong-doers in our own party and cover for them forever, as Republicans do. Sigh. I would surely like to have Donna’s opinion on what Tom Perez is doing right now in the DNC. If the book has published long enough to be quoted by Politico, the answer is probably not there, even if Politico got a pre-publication copy.

“Black Identity Extremists” Nov 2 2017
Remember the “Black Identity Extremists” which I mentioned is passing last week. Here is the petition to hold the FBI Accountable. An FBI Intelligence Assessment concocts a social movement it calls “Black Identity Extremists,” and conflates opposition to police brutality with violence. According to the FBI, if you are black and angry about police violence, you are a potential terror threat.
Tell Congress that this is unacceptable. This petition goes directly to your Congresscritters.

RR: The very end of Reich’s video says it best of all: Drumpf descending, waving, on the famous escalator from the Trojan Horse’s ass.
TNY: Of course the most experienced politician in history wanted to lose to the most unfit candidate ever just to have him impeached! She even colluded with the Russians to have Drumpf win of course. Lock her up for that.
Politico: Again it’s all about money and about the enormous amounts of it going into politics, making all parties, and too many politicians, vulnerable to corruption, fraud and deceit. Is it any wonder that voters have lost all trust in the establishment, those on the right still voting, but for anyone who says he’ll topple the establishment (and drain the swamp) like Drumpf and the Tea Party/Freedom Caucus, those on the left voting independent (which Bernie always was), Green or nothing at all?
Much depends now on how the DNC is handling Donna Brazile’s “confession”. If they deny it or try to sweep it under the carpet in GOP-style, the Democrats may well miss their last chance to change in the way the majority of their voters want them to change.

It’s all over the news today, and Perez, the DNC and Clinton’s people are evading the issue and accusing Donna of helping Republicans at a time Democrats need to win elections. The most guilty are Wassermann-Schultz and her DNC staff for running the party so far into the hole that they needed to sell out to Hillary for her to bail them out.

Politico — I read this yesterday and was totally gobsmacked! I totally agree with JD and Lona in their comments. As I read through, I could already hear Drumpf screaming, both in his tweets and in any oral presentation, “Lock Crooked Hillary Up” and of course his rabid following and Republican lawmakers are likely to follow suit. As Donna says, it may not be illegal but it is unethical . . . gee . . . just like a Republican! . . . although Republicans go beyond unethical into illegal on many occasions.
This may open the door wide for someone like Bernie and maybe Jeff Merkley to make a run in 2020! . . . or someone else equally as progressive! But the entire party must change first or Democrats and progressive voters will be turned off and not show up at the polls leading to a 2nd Drumpf term if he is not cast aside at the convention (in other words “primaried”).
Past time to get the money out of politics and ethics back in!
Cartoon — The United Church of Canada (my church) had Gary Paterson, an openly gay person, as Moderator (highest post in the church) from 2012 to 2015. His partner is also a UCC minister and very strong in human rights. Both were from Vancouver. I am very proud of my church for its inclusiveness.
