I just returned from getting my cortisone shot in my left middle finger. It hurts like hell now, but it will be great to be able to get it up again. That can be most embarrassing, when trying to flip off a Republican. Fortunately I did the puzzle before I left. Barring unforeseen circumstances, I’ll be back in the saddle tomorrow, and I’ll cover Samantha Bee then.

Demand Progress has a petition directly to the FBI about the term “black identity extremists.” It’s the first one I have seen on this topic.
I also got an email from Tom Perez with a subject line “We Can’t Do It Without You.” I thought, “Well, tough. Then why did you piss me off with your purge?” After some more thought, I found the DNC Contact page and sent an answer. I wonder whether I’ll hear anything back.

I had a dental checkup today, the usual 6 month deal, and everything is great. But every time I go to the dentist, I leave with a lighter wallet and a massive headache. I then had a chiropractic adjustment and an unscheduled physio session. After physio, the headache was at least down to a dull roar. With almost no sleep for the past 2 days and today’s travails, I’m gong to bed where some furbabes can look after me for a change.. Good night.

Thanks TC and Mitch. I did have a good sleep straight through until 1030 hours but a weird dream, really weird! The furbabes were quiet and looked after me by cuddling up and not wakening me prematurely. The head feels fine today thank goodness.
If he, or she, gives you painkiller, you are allergic to something in it. Otherwise, you are allergic to something in the air there. It could be something as seemingly benign as an air freshener. Or a cologne worn by the dentist or hygienist who spends the most time close to you. I had an optometrist once – you know how doctors’ offices give you reminders for appointments? I had to give him one every time I came not to wear cologne.
Cartoon: This is the First Amendment as any progressive sees it when protesting; neo-nazis and white supremacists will see the backs of them when they’re in front of them protecting their First Amendment rights.

I once yelled “Bullshit!” at a Tea Party fool, who’d been holding a sign that read “Obama is a Communist!” on a street corner near my home, during the run-up to the 2012 election. Does that qualify as a verbal flip?
I love the picture Lona but agree with Nameless. Obama would never do that, but he sure might think it! I flipped a mouth Conservative (= Republican in US) politician once.
If he’s allowed to fantasize it, I don’t see why we aren’t. I agree it’s a fantasy.
“Black Identity Extremists” makes me wonder who came up with this descriptive wording phrase and why.
The FBI should be targeting the white supremacists who are very active in promoting violence whereas the black lives matter activists are not. KKK & Nazi groups should also be watched as well. Discrimination much…?
Another organization that should be watched and recorded is the NRA and the FBI should, MUST label them as an american terrorist organization.

Jim, the FBI coined the term in their recent report on domestic terrorism, as a bogus substitute for and excuse for ignoring the real domestic terrorism committed by white supremacists.
