In my opinion, impeaching Trump would lead to widespread violence, but not against the government, per se. Like their Fuhrer, Republican Trump supporters are cowards. They would maul people not prepared for self-defense: women, seniors, the disabled, and greatly outnumbered progressives, Blacks, Latinos, LGBT, etc. When police arrived, they would scurry away. Keith # 114 – I am certainly not going to state, or believe, that there aren’t people out there who would take up arms to defend the indefensible. They were angry before the election. They are angrier now, because they are being resisted – and frustrated – at every turn. And they are dangerous. But they are not organized (I doubt whether they know how to organize.) And they are an even smaller minority than they look like in the polls. They can do some damage. They can hurt and kill people. But they cannot win.
Maginnis – Boy, is he in for a surprise! I would not want to be him standing in front of Saint Peter. Incidentally, there is a Biblical meaning to the word “hate” which few people are aware of today – it means to choose against, to set one’s face against, to reject. I think we can admit that, in that sense, we do hate the Twittiot.
Lawrence – How busted? Well, probably, actually, right now, about a six. It won’t reach ten till it goes to court. Incidentally, did you catch that, since Putin kicked US diplomats (and I mean “since” in the temporal, not necessarily the causal sense) out of Russia, he is kicking some Russian diplomats out? Closing three embassies, IIRC?

Incidentally, I’ve been sharing this some, but I can’t see that I shared it here yet. And I am not a lawyer, but the “diarist” (author) is, so it’s not JUST smoke and mirrors, though it’s far from guaranteed.
I saw it, but opted not to use it. I’ve heard so much legal opinion on the other side that, as much as I want it to be otherwise, it was a Federal judge ruling over a civil rights complaint in a Federal court, so I doubt that argument will hold water.
The cartoon is all too true. If giving Big Business fat-ass tax breaks REALLY created jobs – here – our unemployment rate would be at rock bottom and we’d be begging for immigrants.

I have thought that some on the far fringe-right would want to take up arms if Rumpy were impeached, but impeachment is a very far way from here. A quicker, perhaps a saner way to go would be to have him proclaimed incompetent, and that could surprise the entire country. Any indictments are probably far away, as well. One way, or another, state militias, or federal troops could be prepared to restore peace. In any case, I believe, we are in the position of a person who has grabbed a tiger by the tail!! In any case, I fully expect Rumpy to encourage violence if he sees real trouble coming his way!

So much crap going on! Hurricanes in the Gulf. Protests in the South. Its like Game of Thrones around here! Never know what will happen next! This is getting RIDICULOUS! I don’t know what to worry about FIRST! If the next hurricane comes in shore around Florida and moves north, one of kids is screwed! If it goes through Texas or Louisiana, that is just piles on people that have HAD ENOUGH!!!

I believe the right wing with its militias, white supremacists, and neo Nazis, is more violent than the left. Hell they are still trying to fight a war that they lost over 150 years ago. As to Roger Stone, he’s so screwed up in the head, just like Maginnis in the next short take.

The Last Word — On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being ‘totally busted’, I give it an 11. As was said, how much proof is needed? As Lona says, follow the money. When Drumpf is not titally enthralled with himself, he is enthralled with money, lots of money. The Moscow hotel deal would deliver on both aspects.

Did you see this Huff Post article about Drumpf donating $1 million of his own funds to Harvey relief? Like that will ever happen! He has said things about donations in the past but they never materialised as evidenced by some sleuthing by journalists. If there is a donation, it will come from his foundation which is stacked with other people’s money. Or I can see him trying to use political funds. Above all, to me, this an attempt to buy votes in the next round of elections in either 2018 or 2020. Drumpf is reprehensible and a scammer.
Only REAL Sea Horsies are edible.
