It’s another sweltering hot day with 91° forecast and 54% humidity.  I just made a run to the rest room at the end of the hall and had to change my shirt when I returned.  Tomorrow I expect to post fully, but may not.  It’s a grocery delivery day, and I may have a visit from my computer tech to clean up some networking issues that the Comcast tech screwed up.  Jason called me last night to tell me his car is in the shop.  He expects to get it back today, but if he doesn’t we’ll have to reschedule to Thursday.  It de3pends on what happens when for how long.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:31 (average 5:14).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (GQ Channel): Case Closed. Collusion Has Been Proven | The Resistance with Keith Olbermann

Given the facts that Keith has presented there is a prima facie case against Trump, and the Republican leaders in both houses of Congress for Obstruction of Justice. There is a prima facie case against Kushner, Sessions, Flynn, Donnie Dingbat, Manafart and more for conspiracy to commit sedition, if not treason. RESIST!!

From YouTube (MoveOn Channel): Health Care Red Alert

Call your Senators! RESIST!!

From Daily Kos:

Once again, Donald Trump is taking to Twitter to call the investigation into Russian election hacks a "Witch Hunt". This time, however, it comes with a twist.

What else Republican leaders could do to "protect" him that they’re not already doing is, short of passing legislation to bar outright any investigation into himself or members of his campaign or administration, unclear.

Republicans have been working so hard to defend their Fuhrer, some could be charged with Obstruction of Justice. RESIST!!

  1. 4:50  Some birds are so colorful, they look like they were created by Disney.

Last week (Thurday) we were speculating about why the Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee were subpoena’ing Jill Stein.  Now Politico thinks they know why:
Republicans brewing Russian scandal to target greens. Politico:

“Republicans are trying to conjure up a Russian scandal they can get behind. GOP House members and at least one Trump Cabinet member are pushing years-old allegations from conservative activists that Russia has funneled money to U.S. environmental groups to oppose fracking. The story has reappeared in conservative circles in recent weeks — a respite, perhaps, from the steady drip-drip of news reports about dealings between Russians and President Donald Trump’s inner circle.”

Keith #99 – It’s completely obvious to me too.  But I am not in power.  And those who are are the blindest in the world – they WILL NOT see.

YT/MO – It has already moved to the debate stage and can now be voted on.

DKos – Jeesh.  What they don’t come up with.  And this on top of the news (to me) that snopes.com is in truble. NOOOOOOOO !!

    Cartoon – Speechless.

  2. KO: Awful. Just awful!!! And, so ….when will the impeachment, conviction, and arrest of dt begin??
    YT: What JD said.
DK: I know it’s NOT gonna happen…but!! Man up, Mr. President. Man up!! LOL
    Cartoon: Scary!

We are supposed to get some rain, I hope so! Hope that you have a restful evening, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  3. Keith:  I especially like the part about Müller being able to go to court and block his being fired!  The culture of lying, and manipulating, and taking no personal responsibility that Mr. empty has created around him, within, and without his family, ought to be just the thing that brings them all down!
    YT/MO: No Go!!!!
DK: Twitter, tweeter, little verbal masturbeater!

  4. Puzzle — 3:25  We have had this one before, some time ago.  I don’t think I was able to save these beautiful birdies from the maw of that rapacious Puddy Tat, but I did this time!  Puddy Tat, five birdies is just too much for you!

YouTube — Keith all but wrapped it up with a big fat bow on it!  I  agree with you and JD — it has been obvious to me, but then I don’t have any skin in the game.  Drumpf et al are as guilty as sin and need to be removed from office.  If Republican leaders won’t impeach him preferring instead to hide behind the chaos of his scandals, then they too should be tried for obstruction of justice.

YouTube 2 — In his Boy Scout Jamboree speech, Drumpf said he would have to fire Tom Price if the bill to repeal Obamacare did not pass.  How serious he is, I do not know.  But I will say it has little to do with Price and everything to do with other Republicans like McTurtle and Lyin’ Ryan and Mulvaney.  BTW, did you read this Washington Post hot mic article that came out today?  Yowser!!!  Budgets etc!

Daily Kos — Loyalty is a lot like respect . . . it is earned!  I have seen nothing to demonstrate that Drumpf has earned loyalty.  Besides, it seems that most Republicans are loyal to two things . . . themselves and power.  Neither of those things is spelled D … R … U … M … P… F!  As Pat says “Man up!”

Cartoon — I guess that means that Steve Scalise really feels loved.  Love Republican style.

    Resist, Persist and Remove!!!

It has been hot today here — 29 C (85 F) and very little wind . . . definitely not like yesterday!  It may cool off a bit tomorrow but I am not counting on it.  With physio tomorrow, I should sweat like crazy . . . maybe I’ll even lose a kilo or 2.  Take care.

  5. Keith Olbermann #99:

MOC: As we feared, it isn’t dead yet. But if the repeal (replace??) passes, many Americans will be soon.

DK: Nr 45 sure knows how to unite a country and a Congress! He really is the Resident for all, isn’t he.

I hope you don’t have to run to the restroom too often in this heat, TomCat. The ComCast tech screwed up some things after all; it sounded too good to be true. Better luck with your own techie Jason.

  6. HOUSEKEEPING NOTE:
I’ve decided that in lieu of a “Friday Fun” I’m going to tackle the critical question of what are Trump’s option to end the investigation into Russia’s clear meddling in our 2016 elections, and what some of the possible fallout scenarios would most likely be.
I hope to have it up by tomorrow – but there’s a lot of meat on those bones, so it’ll take some time

(I was gone a good deal of yesterday having a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my scalp. [NOTE: Wear a hat – especially if you’re going bald]
It was done by the Mohs procedure where they do a frozen section exam of the tissue to be sure they got all of it while you wait – so it takes a few hours, most of which is spent just sitting. But this procedure has close to a 99% cure rate for this cancer, so waiting was not a problem.
I am surprised how sore the incision is today – wasn’t expecting that. The ibuprofen and acetaminophen rotation wasn’t holding it and the pain actually woke me up at 3:00 AM, so I took a hydrocodone left over from a recent wisdom tooth extraction … MUCH better now!)

  7. Thanks.  I’m in a huge rush.  Wendy needs to come three hours early.

    Hugs!
