I slept poorly last night because of the high humidity, and I missed my morning nap, because of my Prosthetist appointment, from which I just returned, so I feel very tired.  Amanda put new shoes on both George and I.  After wearing nothing else on my foot for a year and a half, it feels strange.  She adjusted George, and I will be going back next month for new liners and shrinkers.  Tomorrow afternoon I have an appointment with Megan for surgical clearance.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:16 (average 4:07).  To do it, click here. How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (Funny or Die Channel): The Yelling Man Takes On Net Neutrality

Defend Net Neutrality! RESIST!!

From YouTube (MoveOn Channel): I’m one of the lucky ones

Tell ALL Senators! RESIST!!

From NPR: In defiance of a court order, the Justice Department is refusing to release part of a security form dealing with Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ contacts with the Russian government.

On June 12, a judge had ordered the agency to provide the information within 30 days, a deadline that passed on Wednesday.

What is he hiding? Could the next smoking gun come from KKK Beauregard? RESIST!!

  1. 4:17  Couldn’t get the pulley into gear.

YT/FoD – I have been signing everything I can and adding extra paragraphs.  This is an issue that speaks to me personally.  (The Liberal Redneck had a few words to say also)

YT/MO – Personal stories are probably the only thing that will help, not just to get it defeated, but to change hearts and minds amount these people’s neighbors.  This one says it well, even better than most, largely because it documents a change of heart and mind.

NPR – Hell, you know what he is hiding.  Frankly, his best chance to keep from getting indicted is to go with the premise that his amnesia is real, because he is demented, and incompetent to serve in any capacity.

    Cartoon – Well, flush faster!

    • Thanks, Joanne. The Liberal Redneck explained it in a way that makes a lot of sense to many red-blooded American men, I guess 10

  2. I just lost my comment, drat! This is a short one here. FOD: I agree with him even through his yelling. (he got my attention! for sure) I signed petition previously.

MO: Heartbreaking! This affects millions of us, yes, it’s “Endless”. RESIST!!!!

NPR: He’s the AG of the US, and he lies!! on a SF86. What a crook!! Glad to see that the American Oversight committee has been formed too! We need them.

Glad that you and George got new shoes! I hope that they are comfortable for you. Enjoy your evening, and get some rest. Take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  3. Love the cartoon!
Net Neutrality is important to us all, I have signed numerous petitions supporting it.  Seems we have to worry about any right we have these days.
Move On video:  I shared this on Facebook so all my friends who still support Trump care can see what the ACA means when you need help
NPR:  Sessions has to be hiding something, he wouldn’t be working for Trump other wise…

  4. Puzzle — 3:31 Well I’d like to see you eat that, Puddy Tat!

YouTube —We must have net neutrality, and none of this slow lane stuff.  This guy is very hard to listen to, and for some parts hard to understand.  If it were anywhere else, I would have turned him off.

YouTube — As far as ordinary Republican citizens go, I wonder how many would change their minds about health insurance if it were only called the Affordable Care Act and not Obamacare?  Clearly this “Republican” sees more clearly than most others because of his own experience, and he’s not afraid to talk about it.

NPR — How many times are these guys allowed to change their SF86 after the fact?  Kushner has changed his after meetings were noted.  We know that Sessions had contact with I believe Kislyak, but that is not on his form.  As Edie says “Sessions has to be hiding something, he wouldn’t be working for Trump other wise…”.  The entire bunch need to be prosecuted, especially Drumpf, Don Jr, and Sessions.

    Cartoon — Love it!

    Resist and Persist!!!

I am glad things are getting settled a bit, but you sure have been busy.  You should be here at night — 13C (55F) with 88% humidity.  Although the humidity seems high, it really isn’t because temps are lower.  We had a brief shower this morning which really cleared the air.  For me, tomorrow is a busy day with washing floors and laundry.  There never seems to be an end to it!

  5. DoDC: The message was loud and clear, though I could have done without the loud. If Net Neutrality (which isn’t what this is really about, the internet itself is neutral) is changed the way the big corporations, and this (GOP) administration want it to change, the poor are even more cut- off from information. It’s very cynical that the average American has to pay more for receiving less because it’s censored, isn’t it.

MOC: Resist to bring an end to Jeff’s “endless list of people who’d have died without the ACA”, and who will now die when it is repealed.

NPR: The Justice Department is refusing to comply with a court order? Really…the Justice Department!? 33 As I’ve said before: it’s going to be a long hot summer.

Cartoon: You didn’t try to push that Republican down the drain there, did you TomCat? 13

Hope the surgical clearance goes well, TomCat.

  6. Thanks all.  Big Rush hugs! 13
