With every passing day, more evidence piles up that the Resident of the United States is a traitor, having colluded with Russia in an assault against our nation’s electoral integrity. In the most definitive evidence so far, Donald Trump, Jr. now holds the smoking gun.

Donald Trump Jr. acknowledged Sunday that he met with a Russian lawyer who had promised damaging information on Hillary Clinton in June 2016.

The news, which was first reported by the New York Times, represents the most direct suggestion to date of possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, and it is the first indication that someone from President Trump’s inner circle met with Russians during the campaign. Trump Jr. also brought then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Trump’s son-in-law and now-top White House adviser Jared Kushner to the meeting.

But the information isn’t just troubling because it suggests the Trump campaign sought out the help of Russians to win the presidency. It also contradicts a number of claims made by the White House, the campaign and Trump Jr. himself — claims made as recently as this weekend. For an administration and campaign that have repeatedly denied contact with Russians and had their denials blow up in their faces, it’s yet another dubious chapter.

Let’s recap all the times they suggested this kind of thing never happened…

Click through for a long list of denials and lies from the inner circle of the Trump Reich.

MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts covered the story

Now the latest Republican lie to deflect guilt is the claim that the Russian’s pulled a bait and switch.  They say that the Russian lawyer had no information, so there could have been no collusion.

According to Raw Story, Keith Olbermann found the very first tweet (6/9/2016) from the Twit that tweets after Manafart, Kushner, and Trump, Jr. met with Veselnitskaya.  Trump tweeted to Hillary, "where are your 33,000 emails that you deleted."  Keith has not posted a Resistance video recently, but I can’t wait to see this one.

In short, Trump began using the information obtained from Russia immediately, making it clear that he was a willing participant.  That smoking gun is still loaded.

  1. Let me just say, IF I had in the past, or today…would have done or said something like this…I’d be in Leavenworth Prison for the rest of my life. They are all traitors at the expense of our taxpaying money to foment the lies they say every s.i.n.g.l.e day, my God, when it going to end???? I get ill thinking how our Nation is trending. So very sad.

  2. Let’s see, this would be Butthead.  Or (I forget which) Usay or Quday.

One wonders whether the GOP WANTS Trump assassinated.  If this were a Progressive President acting like this (not that any would), he or she would already be dead.  I guess what’s keeping us all alive is that the party that has no qualms about assassination isn’t given excuses, and the other party, progressives, would not attempt assisination unless severly mentally ill.  It would be an interesting thesis for a historian.  It anyone wants it, it’s available for free.  I certainly don’t have the stamina to research it.

  3. Lies are what the Trump life has been all about!  I wrote that there was no reason to believe Tillerson, about the Putin meeting, that I knew of no reason to believe anything he has said, and this was reflected ion The Voice, earlier today.  One of the panelists, or whatever, said that she saw no reason to believe anything any of the Trump people say!  I’ll say “AMEN!” to that.
I’m putting my hopes in Meüller’s hands!

    • Thanks Mitch for writing Meüller’s name properly to the way it should be pronounced.  Everybody on the news is saying “Muller”, but with an eu in there, it is pronounced differently.  I had a number of friends with the same last name and they were Meüllers.  To be fair, it very well could be that his forebears Anglicised the pronunciation for expediency.  Thanks again.

      • Müller in German, anglicized spelling Mueller, and of course meaning “miller.”  There’s no way to write the German pronunciation into phonetic English accurately; the closest would be Mealer.  What one usually hears is in English speaking countries is Myooler. But there are many variants.  When a person is in the public eye as he is, it is usually (not 100%, but pretty close) safe to assume that the media has been provided with the pronunciation the person wants used.  Julius Rudel of the New York City Opera (and conducted many other orchestras) preferred to be called Roo-DELL, though the Austrian pronunciation rhymes with “noodle.”  Beniamino Gigli loved the United States, and before his final tour (he was pretty old) people asked him why he was so determined to go, and he replied, “I want to be called ‘Mr. Giggly’ again.”

  4. As ABC’s Matt Dowd (he was Chief Strategist for Dubya) said: If not a true smoking gun – it’s one with fingerprints, shell casings and powder burns.

  5. When John McCain and Lindsey Graham express amazement at his actions, that is surely a sign Trump is in trouble.  His son is as arrogant as he is and thought he would not be caught in a lie.

  6. Well Keith’s vid was posted this afternoon, so TC you won’t have to wait long to see it, assuming you haven’t already seen it after posting.  It goes very well with this piece.  All I’ll say about it is that it reviews the time line of this latest revelation.

If I were a Republican — and thank God I am not, not even close — I’d be getting out my hip-waders and making sure they don’t leak!  Baby Drumpf, if he wants to survive, needs to load brain before firing his mouth. As a family of liars, they aren’t very good because their stories keeping changing, some only small details, others as large as all outdoors.

Impeachment for the Orange Ogre and charges of treason for the others can’t come soon enough.  These guys make Nixon look like a freaking choir boy!

As to baby Drumpf saying that there was no collusion because there no information exchanged, bunkum!  He does not understand “intent to collude”  or chooses to ignore it in hopes that nobody else notices.

    Resist and Persist!!!

  7. Republicans and their mouthpiece, Faux News, have always believed that if you repeat a lie often and loud enough it’ll become a truth over time. The biggest Faux News fans, the Drumpfs, must think the opposite is also true and a fact negated in hundreds of different way will make it disappear. And sadly, for too many Drumpf voters and for their Republican “support” in Congress that is all too true. It gives those voters ample opportunity to simply negate reality and continue to live in the alternate reality Drumpf and the GOP have created for them.

Drumpfians have to acknowledge on some level that Russia has been meddling in the election, even though Drumpf himself keeps trying to push that Putin assured him that they didn’t, bu they will still accept all the efforts to keep the Drumpf Campaign and of course the big Drumpf out of it. Junior is now spinning the tale that, asked to attend a meeting by an “acquaintance”, he didn’t know who he was meeting with and thought it would be about Russian adoption policies. Yeah, right, that was so relevant to the campaign and why he brought  Manafort and Kushner to the meeting. innocent Is there an American bridge left that hasn’t got a “For Sale” sign on it?

Lets hope our king of time-lines, Keith Olbermann, goes after this big time in his next Resistance video.

  8. Thanks all.  Tired hugs! 09
