I got tangled in medical mayhem, had to reschedule my cataract surgery, and am way behind schedule.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:13 (average 4:30).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (GQ Channel): Donald Trump’s Odd Obsession with "Hookers" | The Resistance with Keith Olbermann

Spot-on! Putin’s Piddle Pervert needs a shower to feel golden. RESIST!!

From All In: T1/T2: Schumer perfectly lampoons Trump cabinet meeting

The best response to President Trump’s first cabinet meeting, where members showered him with compliments, came from New York Senator Chuck Schumer.

LOL! Kudos to Schumer. RESIST!!

From TPM: Voter databases and software systems in an overwhelming number of states—39 to be exact—were targeted by Russian cyberattacks over the summer and fall of 2016, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday.

That number, and Bloomberg’s revelation that hackers attempted to delete or alter voter data in Illinois and successfully accessed a campaign finance database in another state, indicates that Russian’s election interference was even more vigorous than has previously been reported.

It builds on a NSA document leaked to The Intercept and made public last week that offered hard evidence that Russian meddling involved not only the strategic hacking and distribution of campaign communications, but efforts to interfere with America’s election infrastructure.

This in itself should invalidate the election. RESIST!!

  1. 4:01  Ah – butterlies and their "male drinking clubs."

I wondered whether this recent bout would force the reschdule of your cataract surgery, but kept forgetting to ask.  Well, good luck with it, whenever it is.

Keith #86 – Is it a distraction?  Or is he really seriously afraid of it?  Is it the hookers he is worried about?  If so, is he afraid of losing his right wing Christian base over hookers?  Because these are right wing Christians – they are used to hookers – their television evangelists have been hooking hookers for decades without losing a viewer.  That can't be it.  If it isn't a pure distraction, if there is something else, not in the dossier, which happened, which investigation would bring to light, what is it?  Yeah, I know, treason, but that doesn't seem to worry him in the slightest.  Oh, Keith, a lot of good questions and precious few answers!

All In – Kudos to Schumer, yes – but you could have warned us of the need for a barf bag for the "real" clips.

TPM – I have been looking off and on last night and today for a list of WHICH 39 states.  Anybody know where that list is?  And just an aside, that it's probably a very healthy development that people who see a headline are starting to respond with, for example, "please let this be true" rather than "woo-hoo" when it's positive, and equally suspiciously when it is negative.

Cartoon – Damn right they'd repeal it if they could.

    • I think he's worried about hookers, becaise it reveals how Russia blackmailed Trump.

      • Granted, but my point still holds.  You can't blackmail someone for something which, when revealed, won't hurt him in the least.   I don't doubt Prude-tin thinks urinating hookers are a horrible scandal – and may therefore be totally off on just how much of a hold he has over Trump – but it has become very clear that evangelical Trump voters couldn't care less.

  2. KO: Yea, that video of dt is floating around, his golden showers. I'd love to know what is in the Steele dossier too.  dt is in pretty deep….hope it gets deeper.

All IN: Gawd, this is hilarious!! Wasn't that cabinet meeting weird, and creepy? I thought so.

TPM: Good video and article. I wasn't sure how cyber hacks work.

Cartoon: Yea, they would if they could.

Hope that you have a good evening, take good care, and rest. Thanks, Tom.

  3. Keith: "I am not a John!" -Beautiful!!!

The Schumer piece will not load for me.

TPM: "Invalidate" was my first choice, long ago!

  4. Puzzle — 3:27  Just remember Puddy Tat, this butterfly can fly higher and faster than you.  I hope he can escape your rapacious maw.

YouTube — I love Keith's line about "I am not a john." from Drumpf replacing Nixon's "I am not a crook."  Drumpf's nickname, "Pussy Grabber", certainly suits him.  But with how he keeps bringing up Russian hookers, one has to wonder if he is just trying to distract from other things coming out.  I guess we wait to see how Mueller's investigation goes.

All In — Schmer and staff deserve an Academy Award for that little performance!  I can see Drumpf's tweets tomorrow about Schumer's parody — Oh Lordy, the twittershere should just be buzzing.

TPM — "This in itself should invalidate the election. " — I agree but it won't unfortunately.  At this point, there is a greater possibility that Drumpf would lose, and perhaps some Republicans too after all their shenanigans over Obamacare etc.

Cartoon — Drumpf has already said he'd like to rewrite the 1st amendment so that he could curtail his negative press with lawsuits.  The 14th would be fair game for them too. . . . bastards that they are!

    Resist and Persist!!!

Reschedule?  Arrggghhhh!!!!!  Is that because of the emergency surgery you had to have?  What a bummer . . . you were so looking forward to improved vision.  When will it be now?

  5. To what date have you managed to rescedule your first cataract operation, TomCat?

Keith Olbermann #86: Drumpf's obsessing with the Steel dossier instead of worrying about the obstruction of justice he is guilty of, is another insight into the very limited grasp on reality Drumpf has. And he's probably more enraged by all the "golden shower" jokes that keep popping up, because those he can understand. And so can his followers. But who knew that those discussions on "obstruction of justice" and "colusion" were so complicated, and hard to follow for a senile old man?

AI: Shummer's take on that first cabinet meeting was perfect! For the real meeting chaired by your "glorious" Resident I only have this:

TPM: These reports on successful Russian interference with the election even at the level of altering or deleting voter data is shocking. What is even more shocking is the fact that these reports fall on deaf ears and nothing changes. It can't be out of fear of losing face…it must be out of fear of losing the election. On the other hand, many Democrats will not want to let the Russians win and throw the country into even greater disarray, if that's even possible.

Cartoon: Is there any amendment left they wouldn't repeal if they could?

  6. Thanks all.  Hugs.

    Surgery 7/18.
