I’m trying to get back into the swing of things, and today is my first full day since before I was hospitalized.  It feels good to be back in the saddle, but I bet a buck that I’ll be pooped before my work is done.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s dawg (tomorrow’s lunch?) took me 3:27 (average 4:51).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From YouTube (Full Frontal Channel): The Ballad Of The Kitty Litter Meth Case

Dang!! I’m taking my bag of kitty litter and going into hiding. RESIST!!

From DCReport: Donald Trump told voters he would double economic growth from about 2% annually under Obama to more than 4%.

But Trump’s own planners at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) don’t think that will happen. Using current tax rates, they project that federal tax revenues will grow at a slower pace than under President Obama through 2022, just the opposite of what you’d expect to see if the overall economy was suddenly growing at double the pace of the Obama years. The OMB numbers are presented in a new federal document, not mentioned in other major news organizations’ reporting, and analyzed by DCReport.

A doubling of economic growth to 4% annually would produce a much bigger increase in individual income tax revenues. That’s because as incomes rise so do the rates at which they are taxed. At 4% annual increases in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) incomes would soar, pushing many people into higher tax brackets on their increased incomes.

Click through for more. As a result, the Trump/Ryan tax cuts to provide welfare for billionaires will cause huge deficits, and Republicans will demand cuts in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. RESIST!!

From Daily Kos: Here’s some schadenfreude for you: Breitbart is a hot mess. Their problems go beyond the recent firing of editor Kate McHugh or Milo Yiannopoulos’ resignation in February: the number of companies willing to advertise on Breitbart.com is down to just 26, according to the Washington Post.

The number of advertisers on the alt-right site Breitbart.com has dropped 90 percent in recent months, from 242 in March to 26 in May, according to data from MediaRadar, a New York firm that tracks online advertising. Among those that continue to advertise on the site include a gentleman’s club in Northern Virginia, a golf resort near the coast of Spain and the conservative foundation Judicial Watch.

This means that Breitbart has lost over 2,200 advertisers total.

It couldn’t happen to nastier Nazis. Another Alt-Right Nazi site says that Jew advertisers are strangling Breitfart of revenues, I tried to find a list of the last 26, but could not. RESIST!!

  1. 4:30  Squatch, I hope you can save Wishbone.

I am NOT betting against you being pooped!

YT/FF – Good thing he wasn't black, or he wouldn't be alive.

DCR – It doesn't take a genius to see what Trump's policies will lead to.  Republicans must be aware of it too, but they don't care.

    DK – How nice.

    Cartoon – How true.

  2. YT: Texas. What can I say???

DCR: Repugs: Wheeeee…..we don't need a lottery, we'll get richer off of the people, make them work harder so we can take their benefits away!!! Me: insert expletive.

    DK: YAY!!!!! 😉

    Cartoon: KA-POW!!!

Glad to read you're back in the saddle, but remember to take frequent rests in between chores. Rest and relax, and enjoy your day/evening. Take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  3. Full Frontal: There ya go!  More draconian means more money for him, screw the bigger impact!

DCR: Trump could not get anything growing, except his hair!  And, I''m not really sure about that!

DK: I saw this earlier, and do love it!

  4. Puzzle — 3:18  Wishbone is safe JD!  No dawg fricassée for tomorrow's lunch or dinner!

YouTube — So that's what those little crystals are in the kitty litter.  No wonder my kids come away from the litter box staggering!  But really, draconian laws all for more business.  Sounds like a Republican . . . it's all in the money.

DC Report — "The bottom line: Trump snookered voters, but his own budget planners know better." — Drumpf snookers everyone, all the time.  He is pulling numbers out of his ass and is probably aided and abetted by Mulvaney, that snivelling worm!

Daily Kos — Karma's a bitch!  Well done to those advertisers that have realised that they can spend their dollars in a better way!

Cartoon — Looks about right, both ideologically and directionally.

    Resist and Persist!!!

Welcome back.  Don't forget, TAKE IT EASY!  Rome wasn't built in a day, nor was your recovery!

  5. Sigh…two articles. Sigh…it's no use…I'll refrain from nagging or personal comments from now on, TomCat.

Sam Bee: That lawyer is some weird Republican, isn't he? He confesses to having voted for Drumpf and say he'd probably do it again, because the more Draconian the (drug)laws get under Drumpf, the more business he gets. Time to repost Jeff Sessions launches War on Drugs 2.0, I think.

    DCR: From tradingeconomics.com:
US Q1 GDP Growth Weakest Since 2014
The US economy grew an annualized 0.7 percent on quarter in the first quarter of 2017, following a 2.1 percent expansion in the previous period and below expectations of 1.1 percent, an advance estimate showed. The deceleration in real GDP in the first quarter reflected a deceleration in PCE and downturns in private inventory investment and in state and local government spending [emphasis mine] that were partly offset by an upturn in exports and accelerations in both nonresidential and residential fixed investment.

This was the reality of the first three months of the year, when Drumpf was getting ready to take over and when he wrote his first decrees to annihilate anything Obama had done. Now put Drumpf's horrific tax-cuts for his rich buddies on top of that and you, TomCat, are spot on with predicting what will happen next [deficits] and how Republicans think they will resolve that [cuts in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid] and by ending all social programs, defunding PP, and outsourcing infrastructure of course. And where is the money for that wall going to come from? Only the bookies are going to do well taking bets on when America is going to go bankrupt.

DK: See, RESISTING works. Only 26 advertisers more to pressure with petittions and Breitbart will be in really deep sh!t. Although…if I was investigating this I'd follow the money from some of these remaining sponsors, that Spanish Golf resort for instance. Would we surprised if the Drumpf family, and by that I mean the American taxpayer, is passing down funds to Breitbart too; by way of a Russian bank, perhaps? I think not.

    Cartoon: Republican…anything.

  6. Thanks and pooped hugs!
