Bernie Blasts Mulvaney

You don’t need me to tell you how bad Trump’s Republican budget is.  You don’t need me to tell you that it is Lyin’ Ryan’s economic thermonuclear strike against the poor and middle classes.  He has been drooling for this opportunity for years.  However we all need to know how to dissect and oppose it.  At that, few, if any, are better than Bernie Sanders.

Shortly after the Trump administration unveiled its controversial budget proposal for 2018, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) totally dismantled the plan in a scathing op-ed.

"The [$4.1 trillion] budget introduced this week by the Trump administration constitutes nothing less than a massive transfer of wealth from working families, the elderly, children, the sick and the poor to the top 1%," Sanders wrote Wednesday.

On Thursday, the Vermont senator confronted Budget Director Mick Mulvaney on the budget’s $26.7 billion cuts

This must not pass, but it must be hung around the neck of every Republican running for reelection.

  1. Thank God for Bernie. He lambasted him!!!!!

  2. So it is like taking candy from a baby, except before the baby even gets it – well, that will prevent the baby from hurting the delicate snowflake wealthy ears when he screams, won't it?  I hope no one will take it as trivializing if I say Bernie is cute when he's mad.  If I say I mean "cute" in the old English slang sense of clever, implying he comes up with very good arguments on his feet, that may sound a little better.  But I also like looking at him when he's mad.  So there's that.

  3. I just hope Bernie does not blow a gasket while expressing his infuriation at these assholes!

  4. Mick Mulvaney was doing a jig on the end of a pin and trying not to get stuck.  He failed!  He failed big time thanks to Bernie's pitbull tactics.  Mulvaney tried very hard to avoid answering Bernie's questions but Bernie persisted.  There was clearly exasperation on Mulvaney's face as Bernie kept after him.

And some of Drumpf's supporters are starting to see what a mistake they made.  Alternet has the story of Krista Shockey of Ohio, a democrat who voted for Drumpf and now sees her Supplemental Security Income disappearing if this budget and Drumpf's policies go through.

    Yeah Bernie!!!

    Resist and Persist!!!

  5. You go, Bernie! Make them feel the passion you have for those who are cheated out of their livelihood, their health care, their future, even their food on the tables. Make them fear the anger you have against those that already have more than they need in money and power and still want even more at the expence of the common people, at the expence of almost every other American.

Kudos Bernie, for publicly denouncing these wealthy monsters by name and showing exactly how many billions of dollars the Walmart, the Koch and, yes, the Drumpf families, each are about to gain at the expense of millions of lower income and middle class Americans, possibly even costing thousands of them their lives. Thank you, Bernie, for giving those billionaires behind this atrocious budget a name and face, yet steer away from ranting against them but instead attacking their budget, for refraining to resort to hate speech as Drumpf and the GOP have made fashionable now, but demolishing the budget and slamming Mulvaney in the process without enticing hate, only RESISTANCE & PERSISTENCE!

  6. Mulvaney and DeVos are at the top of the list of "God Awful People" Twitler has chosen to serve him.

    And that's saying a lot!

  7. Thanks all.  Hugs.  Need to post and lay down.
