It’s a holiday and a Wendy day.  I’m in a BIG hurry!!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:44 (average 4:51).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Daily Kos: \Kim Jong Un is reported to have ordered the evacuation of over 600,000 people from North Korea’s capital city, Pyongyang.

Experts note that the evacuation will most likely be conducted due to extremely strained tensions in relations with the US.

North Korea has an extensive system of shelters, but it’s not clear where the evacuated people are being sent.

Even though the Korean missile was a dud, I still do not like the sound of this at all. RESIST!!

From YouTube (SNL Channel): Easter Message from Sean Spicer

I can’t believe that really isn’t Shitty Spice. RESIST!!

From NY Times: n a Tax Day groundswell of calls for President Trump to release his tax returns, hundreds of protesters marched to Mr. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago getaway on Saturday in Florida, and thousands more gathered in Washington and other cities across the country.

On a waterfront patch facing Mr. Trump’s resort, where he is spending the weekend, demonstrators chanted “Pay! Your! Taxes!” and held signs calling him “Chicken in Chief” — the chicken being a symbol at the rallies of how Mr. Trump was “scared” to follow decades of presidential practice in releasing the returns.

Here the march was about four blocks long and orderly when it passed under my window. Kudos! RESIST!!

  1. SNL/YT: Priceless rendition by MM!

NYT: Awesome!! RESIST and RESIST some more! All day long!

    Cartoon: Sad, isn't it?

Enjoy your Easter day, and stay Blessed! Take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  2. 4:05  Looks lovely.

DKos – I don't like the sound of it either.  But I will leave the work of omagining doomsday scenarios to the talibangelicals.

YT/SNL – Too much honesty at the end for the real thing, but otherwise, yes, right on the money and at the intellectual level.  Did you see the video where they mixed him with actual kindergartners

NYT – Sounds like a good march and good reporting.  I notice however who you DIDN'T quote.  I'll bet they trashed it.

Cartoon – Gee, I learned something.  I didn't realize they bothered with paint.

  3. Glad you're going to be a clean and fragrant Easter Kitten, TomCat. Enjoy your day.

DK: The news about this evacuation is very sketchy and when I Googled it, Pravda came up first! The Dutch media haven't mentioned it yet and only one UK site has mentioned it, so we'll have to wait and see if this is real or just another fake news story to get Americans worried.

SNL: I just loved Spicey had to apologize because "he finally made a mistake". If Drumpf ever fires Spice, SNL must just ignore that and continue Melissa' McCarthy's rendition of these press conferences. They' would be priceless even if when Spiceless.

NYT: Excellent! Another good day for the RESISTANCE! Drumpf may try to ignore it, but there are less and less Americans who do and now 70% demand in polls that he release his tax returns. Kudos to all who marched and who do not let the little things like tax returns be snowed under by MOAB bombings and threatening gestures by two mentally unbalanced dictators.

Cartoon: They actually bother painting them?

  4. I find myself shaking my head, and wondering where in hell "they" find idiots like Spicey?

  5. Puzzle — 3:49  Too hot for me!  Give me 10 – 20 C (50 – 70 F)

Daily Kos — When I woke up this morning, I remember thinking that the sun was out and I was still alive so the unthinkable did not happen . . . yet.  Drumpf and Kim Jong-un are two petulant, power hungry bullies who nobody deserves.  We should lock just the 2 of them on the international space station without any weapons and let them sort things out the old fashioned way.  Neither one can be trusted and both have too much unchecked power.  I read one article a few days ago that said China has 150,000 troops along its border with North Korea for the purpose of turning back North Korean refugees in the event of an American attack.  I don't know how much stock can be put in that reasoning.  The whole situation is disquieting without doubt.

SNL — I don't know why they can't make SNL videos viewable in Canada.

NY Times — I hope that Drumpf is forced to reveal his tax returns as other presidents, and indeed candidates, have done in the past.  He is nothing more than a feckless interloper in the WH.  Good on those who marched today and kept it peaceful.

Cartoon — Too many things in this world are black and white.  Are they all trying to imitate kittens and bunnies?

            Resist!!!.

My boys, Winnie and Primo, turned 9 today and enjoyed their dinner of a fresh roasted chicken breast, and they shared it with little Annie too.  They were so satiated that they promptly fell asleep.  They each received a birthday card from their vet staff.  Me, I had salad for dinner but I did go out after church and a very nice steak which is almost the same price as a burger.  After I finished, the restaurant staff (about 7 of them) got together and sang Happy Birthday to me.  I was very surprised and even received a few hugs.  I like this place because they call me by name which is a biggy in my book.  I learned the importance of that 46 years ago when I first started working.

  6. Thanks all!  Hugs!!
