  1. There's little worse I can think of than having to do your taxes while you're sick, TomCat, but I hope Wendy's return brightens your day a little. We can't have you work yourself into another relapse, so do take care, my friend, and make sure you rest plenty in between and after that horrible task.

    In the meantime we'll

    RESIST & PERSIST!

  2. 4:14  Frevvinsakes, Jigzone!  It's April!  It's not still (quite) this cold, but it's not warm enough that we need to be cooled down yet either!  How about some WARM pictures?

Glad Wendy's coming.  I hope the taxes go smoothly!

Cartoon –  Thank goodness this links to ALTERNATE history.

  3. Taxes. Bleck!! Hope you get them done quickly, so you can rest.

    Glad that Wendy's back too!

Take good, good care, and Thanks, Tom.

  4. Oh, the dreaded TAX RETURNS! I'm glad I don't have enough money coming in to have to do that. I guess that's one good thing about being in the "lower 1%"!  But it would be nice to, like, win a lottery, or someone leave an atrocious amount of MONEY! Yeah, well, that ain't happenin!

Hope you get to feeling better soon. Been kinda under the weather myself, for a while. Spending 23 of the 24 Hours a day in bed is getting old! My neck won't let her too far away from the bed. Sucks!

Take care, TC! Hope ya get to feelin better! Peace, Love and HUGS from Oklahoma!

  5. I've given up on doing my own taxes.

Yeah, I'm positive I  pay too much to have them done – but the peace of mind (and knowing I won't be alone for any future Audits) is comforting.  Doubtful it's cost-effective … but comforting.

Anyone here ever been audited?  I haven't … THANK GOD!

    • I haven't either, thank God.  But when my mother started being the breadwinner after my father's death (there was life insurance, but she chose to use it as her sole income for just three years, and then had her mother come live wirth us) and started filing single head of household, she was audited for SEVEN years in a row.  There wasn't much she didn't know about gender discrimination.

    • Five years in a row in the 1970s.

    • Never audited, have not done my own taxes since the late 1960's.

We also paid too much, for years, but the guy doing them was a tax lawyer, and yes, it was comforting to know he'd be there with us, if needed.  Now, we have a company doing them at a senior discount, real low.

  6. Puzzle — 3:56 Looks like the back country here right now.

Cartoon — Too bad some in the South don't know about the surrender at the Appomattox Courthouse.  They're still trying to fight that long time finished civil war.

    Resist and Persist!!!

Keep resting and hydrating yourself, interspersed of course with food and medication as required.  Take care.

  7. Thanks.  Sick hugs!!

  8. The North won the war, but the south won reconstruction.  That's a big part of the reason we have racial issues, here.

    Take good care, TC.
