Yesterday my doctor gave me Prednisone and too little Oxycodone.  I’m still quite ill, but the Prednisone seems to be helping.  I slept six hours last night.  I’m enclosing video’s today, because tomorrow is a Wendy day, and she is bringing her sister.  Wendy will be in Colorado next weekend to help a life-long friend move to Portland.  Her sister will be filling in for her then, and tomorrow we teach her how, so I’ll be busy.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:07 (average 5:02).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short TakesThe Truth Of Trump’s β€œI Alone Can Fix It” Canard | The Resistance with Keith Olbermann

The magic stone under the Fuhrer’s skin is a turd. His followers are deplorable, not because they are evil, but because they are so gullible that they think and do what they are told. For years, I have called that Republican trait, InsaniTEA. RESIST!!

Monologue: Repeal and Disgrace | Real Time with Bill Maher

I have been quite irritated by the flood of SPAM from left wing organizations taking credit for defeating RepubliCare and telling me to give them money because of it. What shameless BS! Republicans defeated it themselves. RESIST!!

New Rule: Trump and the Long Con | Real Time with Bill Maher

Spot on! RESIST!!

  1. 3:17  Well, maybe Lynn can save him.

Keith #50 – I don't know why Keith says they all act stoned.  It appears to me they all act drunk.  Stoners aren't generally as belligerent.  But that's a small thing.  The big thing here is that it isn't just the Salmon Stalin's people who believe false facts.  ALL of us who oppose and resist him have at one time or another bought into the falsehood that his supporters are capable of rational thought, or at least capable of hearing any facts at all, or of making any kind of change.  They aren't.  Oh, maybe one in a thousand , ot ten thousand, or a hundred thousand, might be able to see that they have been screwed, but there are still all the rest of them, and what about that.  We can't send everyone who voted for him to prison for treason, satisfying though that might be.  It just isn't possible.
See this http://forsetti.tumblr.com/post/153181757500/on-rural-america-understanding-isnt-the-problem – and then see this followup. http://forsetti.tumblr.com/post/153775718520/on-rural-america-understanding-the-backlash

Bill I – Lots of material there!  Without going out to check my microwave, I would just say that, if Gorsuch were really an originalist who knew history (I know, I know, beyond Republicans), he would know that the founding fathers were all FLAMING LIBERALS and interpret accordingly.  I want THAT kind of originalist on the court!

Bill II – I was in a conversation on Disqus about this.  I pointed out that, since I have personally heard three stories of Trump voters who now admit they were wrong, that means that at least one in 21,000,000 is redeemable.  The other party said "Like looking for a four-leaf clover in a well-maintained strawberry patch."

Cartoon – I see the guy who forgot his at least remembered his shades.

    • Incidentally, I don't know which organizations and officials you get spam from; I get quite a bit myself, but almost everything I am getting, at least in the subject line, is telling me that I am to be credited, not them (I guess bcause all of the messages and petitions I signed).  No, I'm not opening them, but yes, I am sure they go to Act Blue – but if a politician or a group signs up with Act Blue, I think that is automatic in every email they send – and I really woud rather have them with Act Blue than raising funds independently, because then my credit card info is in only one place.  So I don't blame them for that.

      • What comes to mind is we all are, but the people who stopped it was the Republicans that wanted more hurt to people.

        • I am with you, but here is a dissenting view from a Disqus user –

          Julia Oceania

Look at those congressmen in the freedom caucus that refused to vote for it. There is a correlation between rowdy town halls and constituent harassment and their "no" votes. Not every member of the freedom caucus was unwilling to vote for it. The conclusion? These people were using the excuse that it wasn't conservative enough to hide behind. They were more afraid of the voters than of Trump or Koch dark money. I read several reports that said Ryan refused to bring it to the floor because 50% of the caucus was going to vote against it. It wasn't the freedom caucus that sunk this bill. They are trying to blame them, but the blame is the fact that voters aren't taking their shit.

          • I think her analysis is an incorrect varient of post hoc ipso propter hoc..  Most of the Baggers come from diastricts that are so red that the reasons trhey claim, accrately reflect their base.

  2. Keith is great, get better, 6:05, will go listen to Bill

  3. KO: "I alone can fix it". Drumpf's a liar, etc, etc, etc. I'm so sick of him, and his NPD, I could just scream. (which I often do watching him). He cares nothing about politics, or of the People.

RT: Spot on, Bill, I agree, we are messed up, because of our #1 person who blames everyone else for S=== rolling downhill.

RT2: See my comment above. Don the Con. LOL.

    Cartoon: Of course!

Good to read that your medical appointment went well, and you got meds to help you.  And…that you got some much needed rest! YAY! Hope all goes well tomorrow too. In the meantime, take good care, relax, enjoy your day, and take good, good Care!

    Thanks, Tom.

  4. Glad the Prednisone worked so quickly, but I think you can thank your six hours of sleep to the too little Oxycodone you've been given too. Now you've had some healing sleep you may finally be on your road to recovery, and the timing is perfect, as you need to be on your best behavior when Wendy's sister is filling in for her πŸ˜‰

Keith Olbermann: "I alone can fix it. After so many of you never noticed that I alone broke it" The gospel according to Drumpf and believed by his hard core followers. Amen to that, Keith.

Bill Maher #1: The descent into the banana republic…honestly, Bill, I thought America had already hit rock bottom of that republic by now. And if you're glad Ivanka has an office close to her father-husband because she can try to make him see some sense and prevent a melt down, especially after his attempts to bully Republicans into voting for Trumpcare backfired, then yes, you're right, Bill. This is how fracked-up America has become.

Bill Maher #2: Brilliant! The best presentation of the con man Drumpf was, is, and always will be I've seen for a while.

Cartoon: Must be an old picture because it hasn't got 'Make America Great Again' printed on those hoodies yet.

    RESIST & PERSIST!

  5. Keith: Charla McComic might just be a good representative of the remaing 62 million imbeciles who voted for Mr.Magic Orange!

Maher: "Repeal and Disgrace": I believe that the GOPigs were not able to write a new healthcare bill over the last 7 years, because they never put pen to paper.  They were so intent on the repeated, and I'll say "fake," (because they knew they would not work) attempts to repeal Obamacare, for the sake of nothing but the value of staying in the spotlight for their sheeple.  And that may well have worked, when you consider the likes of Charla McComic!  So, in my view, they hastily put together the bill that, if you recall, no one was allowed to look at for a while-written in invisible ink as it was- that even the Orange Deal King could not get it through.

Maher: New Rule: "…bad jobs…good jobs…."  Is that it, the country is full of people with "bad jobs?"  I have sometime thought hat the univers is not made of atoms, but of "stupid," because it seems to be everywhere!

    • Mr Magic Orange???  There's nothing magic about that asshat!  He's a disgrace to the human race!

      • Sometimes I wonder whether anyone could possibly be as awful as he is without bad, bad magic.  But then I think, he's the only one who believes his magic – he and his supporters.

      • "Mr Magic Orange???  There's nothing magic about that asshat!"

I strongly disagree!  He's doing a damn good job of making democracy disappear!  *POOF*

  6. Puzzle — 3:00 No warbler fricassée for you tonight Puddy Tat!

YouTube — It seems that Drumpf was unable to fix the health care bill.  So much for his promise for better and cheaper health care for all.  That "magic stone" is not working!  BTW, that McComic is sure giving natural blondes a bad name!  What a twit!!

Bill Maher Monologue — He is funny and so spot on!

Bill Maher New Rules — Drumpf is such a con just like his sandwich — white bread full of baloney with russian dressing and a tiny pickle!  Bait and switch is all Drumpfenfarten!

Cartoon —  White bread full of rancid baloney!

    Resist and Persist!!!

  7. Thanls all!!  Less pained hugs!!
