I’m still sick, but my body demands a couple upright hours.  This is my only article today.  Congrats and kudos to Lona and the Netherlands for remaining a socially democratic republic.  I hope that one day, the US will become one.  In the meantime, I wonder of the Fuhrer will put Geert to work in the Rectum Reich.

  1. 4:22  Lunch?

Keith # 47 – "President Emily Latella" – Stunning.  I also like the "pulling the cables" idea.  Here's my plan:  we cut Fox's access to every cable provider, and don't tell anyone.  We let all the talking heads keep showing up for work every day, and getting paid, but no one hears them but each other.  Do you suppose there's a chance?

Sam I – They really don't know what the Deep State is, do they?  And of course they will say anything, anything at all.  Slightly off topic, it has been obvious that Trump's (Bannon's) goal is to "dismantle the executive branch," but it was still depressing to see that phrase in a headline this morning.  Victim?  Yeah, he's a victim all right.  Just like a criminal who has been charged an jailed awaiting trial is a victim.

Sam II – That scene from Casablanca makes me cry every time.  Well, back to today.  Yeah, the town halls are liberal activists.  Every one of those people there who is not a Republican is a liberal activist.  They are also actual constituents.  Some of those town halls even made a dent in Tom Cotton's self confidence – how big a dent, or whether it lasts, we shall have to see.

Cartoon – The Republican War is on Poor People.

  2. Thanks for mentioning our election results, TomCat. I'm rather busy right now, so I can't make any promisses, but tomorrow (GMT) I'll try to write a sort of upside-down op-ed trying to explain why the Dutch see their electiob differently from those seeing it from afar. No time to research, so it'll be just my opinion this time, if you don't mind.

Keith Olbermann: According to Keith even a second rate TV is to hard for Drumpf to understand. He doesn't listen, just watches the images flash by and his perception is so biased that even that has no direct link to reality. Does America have children's news like we have? It's very popular with children and adults alike in Holland. It needs to break down news and simplify its language a fraction without becoming childish or biased and that is to the benefit of many adults too. America could possibly benefit from Drumpf watching the Children's News.

Sam Bee 1: The Deep State was so deeply buried that Sean Hannity had to pull it out of the depths of his ass…How about pushing it back in there again where it belongs? RESIST!

Sam Bee 2: Am I to believe that American Democrats are all talk and no action? Why walk in those rallies and sign all these petitions if they can't be bothered to canvas or even go out and vote for the Democrat in any election near them? What is wrong with you?

    • The election was then.  The town halls are now.  Not all of them of course, some were already active and did vote, but a goodly number may, I hope, have learned something.  We'll see how long it lasts.  The Garcetti election may have been like TomCat's polls – small numbers and totally unscientific, yet often reflecting much wider swathes of opinion.  Just from subscribing to the LA Times breaking news alerts, I would rate Garcetti as not perfect but not all.  I am as always open to correction from someone who knows more.

    • And a lot of the most active ones were taken in by the traitor Jill Stein and her Russian propaganda.  They convinced millions to stay home.

  3. Puzzle — 3:55  No fishie fricassée tonight Puddy Tat!

YouTube — Kudos to Keith!  Spot on as usual!  Is this what the "age of television" has become?  And reality TV?  I agree with you. I can't stand reality television.  Pull the plug indeed!

    Resist and Persist!!!

YouTube — "The deep state is so deeply buried in steepy steepness, Sean Hannity had to pull it from the depths of his ass , , ." — LMAO!!!  There are a lot of things that Hannity pulls out of his ass, and none of it good.

    Resist and Persist!!!

YouTube — Nothing can change if people don't vote.  I venture to say that it is not the protesters andmarchers that did not vote.

    Resist and Persist!!!

Cartoon — Now there is a war on the war on poverty all brought to the people by the Greedy Old Pharts.

    Resist and Persist!!!

Glad your body is demanding a little verticle time.  That must mean that you are slowly getting better.

  4. Poor sick starving kitten! crying

  5. Thanks TC – and may I second you in congratulating Lona and almost all of her wonderful compatriots for making sure Geert Wilders only got 20 seats out of 150 – my hat is off to you all and may blessings be heaped upon you!

My apologies for being away again – I was extra ill again and then when I tried to find this site, the computer wouldn't connect me and tried to imply it didn't exist.  I was too ill to argue, so left it for a bit….

    • Hope you're feeling better now!

To paraphrase the Bible, we will always have the politically stupid among us.  For that reason we need to have the politically astute like you, Lona, JD and TomCat in your best form and kicking righty butts!

  6. Keith 47- "Sad?"  "Sad," you say, you Empty Orange Puffball.  No, what's sad is …you.

Sam Bee #1- Projection?  Have any of you noticed that word spill from my brain before?  Oh, yeah!  Hannity the pupeteer?  Once again, I remind you that I have read that the fired prosecutor for the Southern Tier, in N.Y. had been investigating, of all things…Faux News!

Sam Bee #2- She reminf=ds me ofthe line from the old rock song line about marchers shouting "Horaay for our signs!"  Brilliance in signage is itself.

Cartoon- March 17, 2017, the Repukelicans launch launch their War on the People!  That so-called budget must have kept McConnell and Ryan up all night trying to stifle their hard-ons!  This thing is a Repuklican wet dream!  I'll bet that even Boehner fell off the wagon over this…oh, you say he never got on one?  no surprise.
