I’m running a bit behind schedule as I had several tasks this morning, and everything takes so long to do.  For example, restocking my pill caddy with all my meds for one week, except Advair, just took me 45 minutes.  But now I can orient myself to desphincterizing the White House and unreichifying everywhere else.

Please remember Lynn Squance in prayer or however you connect to the infinite.  Today is her mother’s memorial service.

From YouTube (GQ Channel): Why Trump is Refusing to Confront Reality | The Resistance with Keith Olbermann

Our voices must continue to dissent as long as we have breath. RESIST!!

From Sen. Jeff Merkley [D-OR]: Oregon’s Senator Jeff Merkley released the following statement regarding U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ failure to disclose his 2016 contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, as reported by the Washington Post last night:

“The Attorney General concealed from Congress during his testimony under oath the contacts he had with the Russian government during the campaign. An ‘I don’t recall’ defense is wholly inadequate, especially for the nation’s top law enforcement officer. The only way for him to restore the American people’s faith in our Justice Department is to resign.

“This latest unraveling of the cover-up only reinforces the fact that there are many more questions than answers about the Trump campaign’s knowledge of and possible coordination with Russian activities during the 2016 campaign. To get to the truth, we need a fully empowered, totally independent special prosecutor to thoroughly investigate this matter — as soon as possible.”

Amen Jeff! I worked to help him get that seat and have been proud of him ever since. Oregon Leads the way. RESIST!!

From Reuters: A photo of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton glancing at a newspaper headline about U.S. Vice President Mike Pence using private email has gone viral on social media, with thousands of people commenting on it.

Pence and others involved in the Republican presidential campaign last year criticized Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time as U.S. Secretary of State.

Clinton was on an airplane traveling from Boston to New York on Friday when a fellow passenger snapped a photo of her glancing down at Friday’s USA Today newspaper front page headline "Pence used personal email in office".

On a hypocrisy scale of 1 – 10, Pence gets a 537. RESIST!!

  1. 5:02  I would assume a rude beckia would be some relation to Glenn.

New TV ad by UltraViolet  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0XcyoY2aow

Keith – See the ad linked above.  Progressives like VoteVets and UltraViolet are aware of the bubble.  This is why they are placing ad spots during shows they know, from hie Tweets, he watches.  This may be the only way to reach him at all.  Anosognosia is like the Dunning-Kruger effect – but it's a clinical condition, whereas the Dunning-Kruger effect is just the way life is.  Thank heaven for Keith!

Jeff (the good one) – I get his emails myself and they are always a breath of sanity.  Amen to this.

Reuters – This photo was taken by stealth as a way to get a shot of Hillary – but when the photographer looked closer – it turned into the poster for irony.  Pence – not only nt a government server, but – AOL ??!?!!?

Cartoon – March 4, 2017 – we have only ourselves to thank for the fear of Republicans.

  2. KO: Love KO! I could see DT being anosognosic, though I'm not a doctor, but a watcher of his actions. He certainly isn't in reality, that's for sure!

Oregon’s Senator Jeff Merkley: I agree 100% of what he wrote. If he doesn't resign, then he's worthy of expulsion. imho.

Reuters: Good picture of HRC.   Hypocrisy runs deep in the GOP.

    Cartoon: Gulp! So true.

Simple things that I take for granted, are minimized by what you do, in your daily efforts. I sure hope that you get a chance to relax and rest. Enjoy your evening, and take care. Thanks, Tom.

*Lynn: Prayers lifted up for you today, in Remembrance to your mother. Take good care.

  3. thank you for the update on Lynn, will keep her in my thoughts/prayers

  4. Being selfish, I hope at some point in the healing process Lynn will feel comfortable sharing some memories of her beloved Mother …

  5. KO: Continues to rock!  He's a little calmer in this piece.

    Merkley: Right on!

Reuters: Is anyone the least bit surprised?  C'mon, hypocrisy is what theGOP does best!!!  And, they know that they can't win on legitimate issues.

    Thinking of you, Lynn.

  6. Puzzle — 4:21 Edible? . . . but pretty!

YouTube — Talk about being disconnected from reality! — Drumpfenfarten tweeted today the following:

"Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my "wires tapped" in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!""

"Is it legal for a sitting President to be "wire tapping" a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!"

And where did he get this information?

"… he may have been referring to commentary on Breitbart and conservative talk radio suggesting that Obama and his administration used “police state” tactics last fall to monitor the Trump team."

Drumpfenfarten is so paranoid . . . he is totally detatched from reality and, in my non expert opinion, is mentally ill.

    Keith is spot on!

    Resist and Persist!!!

Sen. Jeff Merkley [D-OR] — AMEN!!!  To quote JD, "Repeal and replace Sessions!"

    Resist and Persist!!!

Reuters —  Hypocrisy, in deed!  It's always "do as I say not as I do" with Republicans.

    Resist and Persist!!!

Cartoon — Republicans would not understand FDR's meaning as their modus operendi is fear.

    Resist and Persist!!!

Things went well today at the Celebration of Life for mum.  I did not sleep much last night and it appears tonight will be more of the same.  But my anxiety levels are coming down.  It was a small service which I expected as mum did not have friends here.  But some friends of mine from 9 years ago at work came as did some other friends.  For me, that started the waterworks!  I am so aware of the support for me, but my brother and his wife didn't know anybody.  We will be getting together tomorrow and then again on Monday for a business appointment before they fly home.

    • Glad things went well yesterday at your mum's Celebration of Life and that so many of your friends showed up to support you. Many people live to a grand old age nowadays, but that makes for rather small gatherings at funerals and memorial services if they've outlived many of their family and friends and have lost contact with others while in a home. But you, your brother and your sister-in-law, the most important people in her later life were there to remember her and that is most important of all, dear Lynn.
I wish you all the best when you now take all the time you need to mourn and reshape your own life without her.

    • You deserve great praise for the way you're holding up.  I hope and pray that your pain starts to diminish.

    • Your sharing brings back memories of the memorial (which was an interment of ashes with my father) of my Mom.  It was very small, I could count the number on two hands, but family, and the pastor, came from many miles away.  And my last surviving aunt, who had always been the grouch of the family, very quick to take offense even when none was intended, said she thought my Mom had been the most loving person she had ever known.    I hope your Mom's service gave you new memories which in future years will come back to give you warm feelings.

  7. Hold on, dear TomCat, only a few more weeks or months until your sight will improve more and more with each step of your "vision plan" taken. Let us hope that while your world becomes clearer and brighter, Drumpf's world becomes darker and the light at the end of his tunnel is that of the bulb in his prison cell.

Keith Olbermann: Keith made quite a compelling case for both Drumpf's need to cocoon himself and his display of symptoms of anosognosia, the physical form of denial.  It is all the more compelling as both are also the symptoms of Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. The need for a cocoon in which demented Drumpf can maintain his sense of being the best and greatest and of being worshiped by all may also be the reason why he flees to Mar-a-Lago, the resort he owns, every weekend to have all these paying guests wanting to make selfies with him. He can't have that at the White House.

Jeff Merkley: Kudos for being spot on, Jeff! Sessions needs to resign, no matter how much he smiles sheepishly like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Put the pressure on and have him resign like Flynn. Then start to think how to get a truly impartial, totally independent persecutor instated by a Republican run Congress.

Reuters: Pence used a private email account for state matters as governor, Pruitt lied to Congress about the use of his private email account, there aren't enough investigative reporters who can spare the time to dig into the use of private email accounts by all those hypocritical Republicans in Congress…but it's all water under the bridge and digging it up brings little more than a few minutes of fun seeing Pence squirm and give comedians another topic for the day. Do net get distracted! The "The Russian Connection" should have the highest priority now, while keeping a sharp eye out for all the little bills and decrees that are pushed through when nobody is watching.

    Cartoon: What Joanne said!

  8. Thanks and hugs to all!
