Another day has gone by as the Republican Party keeps sticking its grotesque head farther into the noose. What we don’t know is whether or not Republicans will destroy the nation before the noose tightens.
Personally, I slept well, but am still quite tired. Fighting through bad vision to complete the simplest tasks is exhausting. A little over a year ago, I went to see my Ophthalmologist for new glasses. I will be so happy when the hornets nest that trip unleashed is finally over.

I’m sure glad Obama did this, although I wish he had declassified and released all but sources and methods to the public. RESIST!!
From The New Yorker: In a stunning rebuke of the Attorney General, Russian President Vladimir Putin has demanded that Jeff Sessions resign from the Russian government “at once.”
Speaking at the Kremlin, Putin said that the controversies swirling around Sessions in Washington “no longer make it possible for Jeff Sessions to function as an integral part of the Kremlin team.”
Putin asserted that Sessions had “become a distraction,” and ordered the Alabama native to clear out his desk at the Kremlin “by Friday morning at the latest.”
While Kremlin sources said that forcing Sessions’s resignation was “a necessary measure,” they would not guarantee that he was the only member of the Trump Cabinet who would be expelled from the Russian government.
Dang Andy!! If KKK Beauregard isn’t good enough for Putin (R-RU), he’s not good enough for us!! RESIST!!

Is it a year already since you went to have your eyes checked, TomCat? My, how time flies. But not so much if you have to go through surgery and radiation and double vision on top of bad eyesight. DK: Wish Obama administration officials didn't have to leave a trail because Obama has let himself be bullied by Mitch McConnell and other Republicans and decided not to demand an investigation before the election when the intelligence agencies first reported on the Russian "connections". That was one of the worst decisions Obama made during his otherwise very good presidency and all his officials could do is keep information from being destroyed and leave clear indicators to this evidence to follow in any later investigation. But it's only a clear trail of intelligence for those who want to see and follow it, and both the Republican dominated Senate and the House are willfully blind and deaf and won't budge. Time to put the pressure on and

TNY: With Fynn already gone, and with Sessions told to clear his desk, you'd think Putin would have few American members left in his government. But then it's totally unclear how many there are until a full and independent investigatrion gets on the way. Lately I'm starting to wonder if an truly independent AND bipartisan investigation is at all possible in this Congress. If a committee ever gets formed, it may never get on its way because one after the other member needs to recuse him/herself because of "ties".
