Another Tie to Russia

Putin’s Pervert keeps trying to hide the intricate web of interaction between Russia, his campaign first, and now, his administration.  But no matter how much he lies and bullies, every time we turn around we see more evidence that the Fuhrer is deeply and criminally involved with the Russians.  Here’s the latest.

A study prepared exclusively for DCReport.org by James S. Henry reveals deep financial ties between Donald Trump’s nominee for Commerce secretary, Wilbur Ross, and three Russian oligarchs, whose lives and fortunes depend on staying in the good graces of Vladimir Putin.

These connections raise many new questions about Trump’s reliance on the Putin regime, which all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies say interfered in the presidential election on Trump’s behalf, but which Trump disputes.

These relationships between nominee Ross and the oligarchs involve ownership and management of a European bank with a reputation for laundering Russian money and making bad loans.

The study also compared flight records of Trump’s campaign plane and a plane used by one of the oligarchs. During the campaign, the two planes often were at the same airports at the same time… [emphasis added]

With a few more facts we can see that Trump’s initial involvement with the Russians was his involvement with Putin’s cronies’ money laundering.  Rachel Maddow paints that picture in three segments.  In the first, she weaves together all the loose threads until they all fall into place.

In the second and third, she and David Remnick discuss Putin’s present relationship with Trump and avenues for investigation.

Remnick makes perfect sense when he said that Putin’s intent was not for the Fuhrer to become Resident.  Like almost everyone else, Putin expected Hillary to be President, but have a weakened Presidency, because of his activities.  Now that the Fuhrer is in the White House, Putin is like the dawg that caught the car.  He may be almost as freaked as we are.

Eventually, all these chickens will come home to roost.  Until then…

  1. I can't be surprised about any of the threads Rachel pulls together in the first section.  I couldn't have told you the names, or the details, but it's exactly what I expected.  I also expect the revelations will make not a dent in any Republican brain.

I do think Harold Ross would be proud of David Remnick.  I doubt whether Ross (Harold, not Wilbur) would have predicted that his New Yorker would become a leader in investigative journalism above the New York Times, Washington Post, and other more traditional NEWS vehicles, but I think he would have embraced it.

  2. Having been a subscriber to "The New Yorker" for several decades now, David Remnick has long been one of my favorite writers (he's been there since '92).  He's a master w/ words!

  3. RM: #1. WOW!! Money can buy anything or anyone, eh?

Excellent video with RM & Mr. Remnick: re: DT, and the investigations needed.

  4. Not any surprises expected here, either.  These be scum!

  5. There needs to be a thorough, independent investigation of Drumpf and his Russian connections.  To this retired banker, this all smells a lot like money laundering on an exceptional scale.  If that could be proven, Drumpf should go to prison like any other money launderer.

As time goes on, the Russian entanglements are going to become bigger, more complex, more obvious, and more a matter of national security.  This is truly ugly!

  6. Drumpf has been doing shady, if not illegal, business deals with all sorts all his life and that is why he is beholden to so many people and has to follow up on his promises to give them a place in the government where they can use their influence where the both desire it most. Drumpf isn't the "great businessman" he believes himself to be, he's done so many shady deals that he is open to blackmail by governments like Russia as well as many in the swamp, like some of those appointed in his cabinet.

So it's no surprise that the very intricate web is slowly starting to unravel when good investigative journalists get involved and "follow the money", because that is always the lead, isn't it. David Remnick may certainly has a point that Russia wasn't out to get Drumpf elected – you have to take the blame for that yourself, America, by was out to destabilize Clinton and American society itself, the same way it is trying to destabilize Europe now before the upcoming elections, and in my opinion has helped destabilize the Middle East further; all to increase it's own grip on world power and politics. All the signs here are that Russia is now deeply regretting the election of Drumpf and are turning hostile towards him and America again. With Drumpf proposing a $54 billion increase on an already huge defense budget at the cost of science, education and environment, a new cold war seems to be looming indeed.

But that doesn't mean that Drumpf didn't have or doesn't have ties to Russia himself which need to be investigated as soon as possible. The trouble is that the webs woven by those around Drumpf – he himself is incapable of that – are so intricate and complicated that they are hard to follow for many. And sadly, if people can't understand it because it is too difficult for them, they just dismiss it as untrue or not proven. And the Republicans, who may have some threads in this web too, will exploit this too the max.

  7. Thanks and hurried hugs!!
