I’m starting very late today.  It’s a Wendy day, and by the time she left, my beloved Broncos were already meditating in the Church of that stinking Ellipsoid Orb, so instead of writing, I crawled into bed and watched the disaster.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 7:24 (average 12:14).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Religious Agony:

A Gift from Nameless:

The gift was the neat shirt.  Thank you!!  The beautiful woman is Wendy.  I figured I’d put it on her instead of me to spare your eyesight.

Short Takes:

From YouTube (MoveOn Channel): 4 Things You Need To Know About Scott Pruitt

Please make that call.

From NY Times: President-elect Donald J. Trump boasted throughout the presidential campaign of his loyalty as a singular quality. “Folks, look, I’m a loyal person,” Mr. Trump said at a CNN town hall in April, explaining why he would not rid his campaign of a staff member who was under fire.

Loyalty appears to be paramount for Mr. Trump, until it isn’t.

Some of Mr. Trump’s earliest supporters — among them Rudolph W. Giuliani, Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee — have not fared well in the job sweepstakes…

…Mr. Trump put out a face-saving statement on Mr. Giuliani’s behalf on Friday, saying that the former mayor of New York had withdrawn from contention for secretary of state — the only job he had wanted.

Call the WAAAmbulance!! These suckers won’t be the last. Trump has fascist billionaires to install who are far more extreme in their hate and greed than Rudi 911, Bloody Bullseye Barbie, Newtered Newt, Upchuckabee and PIGnocchio. Who could have dreamed that there would be worse?!!?

From Think Progress: Another climate-denying nominee will be named Friday for a key environmental position in the Trump administration, multiple sources are reporting.

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) will likely be tapped to lead the Department of the Interior, which oversees all of the U.S. public lands, including forest management, the Parks Service, and fossil fuel extraction.

McMorris Rodgers is strongly in favor of developing the United States’ fossil fuel resources. She has also opposed federal ownership of public lands and voted to make it more difficult for the president to create national monuments. McMorris Rodgers is the author of a bill that would have directed the Department of the Interior to sell off federal lands in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming.

The selection is not surprising, in what is shaping up to be the most anti-environmental administration — Republican or Democrat — in modern times.

The Criminal Clown Cabinet keeps getting worse and worse.

From PoliticusUSA: It is finally being said out loud, in public, on national television. America may need to hold a new presidential election after Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump.

Former CIA Operative Robert Baer brought up the idea of holding a new election during an appearance on CNN:

Baer said, “The Russians, it looks like to me did interfere in our elections. We’ll never be able to decide whether they changed the outcome, but I’ll tell you having worked in the CIA if we had been caught interfering in European elections, or Asian elections, or anywhere in the world, those countries would call for new elections. Any democracy would. I mean, I don’t see it any other way. The Electoral College before the nineteenth has got to know whether the Russians had an effect, Whether they went to Wikileaks, whether they hacked email, and whether they affected American opinion. They had a good reason to go after Hillary Clinton. Putin hates her for the Ukraine.

I fully agree.

  1. 7:00  Oh, come on, it wasn't as hard as THAT average would suggest.

So sorry about the religious agony.  Incidentally, if the shirts are as hard to get as the tickets, Nameless must be Superman.  Very impressive.

YT/MO – Perfectly consistent and predictable.  The best person in the country to destroy the agenct he would be supposed to be taking care of.  I have been writing and signing.

NYT – Nobody is getting th SoS job who doesn't have strong ties to Putin.  Those others just don't hack it.

TP – You all must be even more tired of hearing me say it than I am of saying it.  The best person in the country to destroy the agency she would be supposed to be taking care of.

PoliticusUSA – I am beginning to understand why Buddhist monks in Asia have suicided by setting fire to themselves.  When everyone is trying so hard to accept that this is normal, it may be the only way to actually call any attention to the fact that THIS IS NOT NORMAL.  No, I am not volunteering, nor am I recommending this to anyone here or elsewhere.  But I am beginning to understand.

    Cartoon – All of that.

  2. Pretty lady!

  3. PoliticsUSA: Baer is point on!  Sources, perhaps sacrifice them, money and hassle to re-do the election?  Of course sacrifice them!  Will this cause a hassle?  Sure!  But so will having having this level of evil as presient!  And much more!  What is freedom worth?  What do our troops go to war for, to protct our freedom?  Or is it to protect our 1%'s overseas invstments?  How many times have aI seen a bumper sticker say, as just the other day "If you love your freedom, thank a vet!"

I wrote to one of my congressmen, yesterday, asking whether, or not, there is a way to invalidate this election.

    U-Tube/Move-on: Will call tomorrow.

Think progress: Sure, just what he said about cleaning up the swamp, caring for the little guy in the rust belt.  Maybe he'll Make America Into a Great Swamp, with the result of more CO2, and mehane in the air.

NY T: Loyalty?  The only thing this faker is loyal to is the impulse of the moment!

  4. Move On:  I will call, but you know neither of my Congressmen will vote against Pruitt.

NY Times:  Trump's only loyalty is to himself.  Those named should have known that, but their greed made them hopeful.  He is picking people he thinks are most like himself.

Think Progress:  I hope we have a few National Parks still intact at the end of the next four years.

Polticus USA:  I agree with Baer, but we all know that will never happen.  Too many wealthy, influential people want Trump in office for the American public to have a say.

Cartoon:  They have done a great job on all of these.

  5. Today was not a good day for the Ellipsoid Orb! I think I have lost all three of my team's games! Especially, my Lefty Hillbillies!

To think that Drumpfenfarten would put someone in the Dept of Interior that wanted to sell off the federal lands! All to make them money somehow! Like maybe, OIL!!! We thought Bloody Bullseye Barbie was and choice with her "Drill, Baby, DRILL!" The EPA pick was bad ENOUGH! I can't stand Pruitt!!! At least they didn't pick Mary "Failin" Fallin (R-OK gov)!

What are they gonna do about the hacked election? Anyone got any answers yet? Should be an interesting news cycle tomorrow!

Love the T-shirt from "Hamilton" and Nameless! Take care of yourself, TC! It's gonna be cold and that doesn't do nice things to our bodies! Love Wendy!

  6. Puzzle — 6:21  Behind door number one, the Sasquatch!

Religious Agony — Broncos might have lost but WR Emmanuel Sanders did an outstanding job — he added 16 points to my FF week!

Youtube — There's that fox in the hen house, again!  If that legal challenge attempting to overturn the US's most important climate plan is still active, isn't that a conflict of interest?  As head of the EPA, he would just have to instruct the agency not to defend the plan and, well you know where it's going.  I don't have a senator to call but Washington state's Maria Cantwell is going after Canada for oil tankers on the southern coast, so I am sure she has her ueye on Pruitt.

NY Times — Drumpf sees people as disposable if they don't meet his needs.  This bunch comes with a whole lot of baggage and they are not reliable enough to be super extreme.

Think Progress —  Cathy McMorris Rodgers is from WA 5th district which is around Spokane in eastern Washington.  That is the very conservative side of Washington.  This is definitely bad news.  What part of "save something for future generations" do these numbskulls not get?

Politicususa — I agree with Baer but it would be a tough go, but worth it.  I think that Drumpf's supporters, particularly the rabid ones, would literally be up in arms.  I can just hear Drumpf . . . and of course his fingers will be flying over his keyboard tweeting, name calling etc.  He is such a petty, lying, mendacious, narcissistic, arrogant, fascist bastard, an insult to the reputation of the US.

Cartoon — Looks like Drumpf's twin . . . except for the colour.

T shirt looking good on Wendy.  Well it rained here today but it is back to snow.  Tomorrow is going to be very slippery!

  7. Nice shirt, TomCat. I'm sure it'll look good on you too.

I'm busy preparing to go Down Under coming Saturday and set up home there for another month, and usually that doesn't keep me much from following and commenting everything put on PP (and the cross-posts on C2NN) on a daily basis . But this time Drumpf's ill-gotten Electoral College victory (but not the popular vote), the day after day of announcements of another, literally country and planet devastating, nominee for his cabinet, investigations into deviant polls started and then stopped, and now new revelations of apparently old knowledge that Russia has tried, and most likely succeeded in helping Drumpf to win the election… all this is taking its toll and I really need a time out from all of this.

I'm in no position to change anything and I'm only getting bitter and sarcastic because, besides a few hot spots of resistance, Americans are allowing all this to happen. I'm sorry, but that's the way I see it right now. Yesterday Arielle asked where the outrage and the pitchforks were and Mitch was angry at Obama for letting himself be bullied by Mitch McConnell and I fully agreed with both of them, but it also made me realize that I've had enough. I need to take time to recharge my batteries again and not waste it standing at the side watching helplessly how the S.S. U.S.A. is going down and taking us down with it, and getting depressed.

So, I may still drop in regularly, but I may not be commenting much while I'm in Oz. Is that a sigh of relief, I hear? 😀

  8. YT/MO: Emailing and getting the word out, on this one to others. In my state, mine are the color red. ugh!

NYT: Hate and greed working hand in hand for his administration, what a cluster!

TP: Horribly sad, and very frightening!

PoliticusUSA: I agree. Baer knows it, we know it, and so does the rest of our Nation. Let's do it!!

Cartoon: And the Repugs will do this to the best of their abilities too!

What a day. I watched both games, good for me, not for you. So sorry. That melee was quick, in your game. The Douglas hit on Harris was a low cut to me. It sure wasn't needed, nor necessary. Glad he's okay. Love the shirt, and it looks good on Wendy too. Hope you have a good day, take care, and Thanks, Tom.

  9. Wendy does the t-shirt proud!  (Anything to irritate the Mango Mussolini)

  10. Thanks all!  Hugs!
