From the beginning of the primary process to the present there had been no greater clarion of truth than Bernie Sanders. In a discussion with Late Night's Conan O'Brien, Bernie blasted the tweeting twit, Fuhrer Drumpfenfarten of the Republican Reich.
Conan O'Brien is also aware that President-elect Donald Trump has a Twitter account, and on Tuesday's Conan he asked guest Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) for his reaction to Trump's latest "conspiracy tweets," about how millions of illegal voters robbed him of a popular-vote victory and his assertion that people who burn the American flag should face prison or a revocation of citizenship.

Bernie didn't miss much, calling Trump delusional and totally insane. predicting that Trump will suppress voting rights and outlaw dissent, and worrying for the future of our country.
I worry too. If only the protest voters and those who stayed home in protest against Hillary Clinton had listened to Bernie, held their noses and protected us against this catastrophe. They didn't believe this could happen. How foolish, since the Bridiots didn't believe it either.

Not much gets past Bernie, does it? Where else can one hear, not only an analysis of the idiocy on the surface, but profound insight into the messages behind the idiocy? He is a national treasure. Trump voters and non-voters are – not.
Yep. Brexit may as well of been here. The same thing, just with dumber outcome! And the way that Herr Drumphenstien is tweeting and twitting, you'd think he had some stock in Twitter! Oh, GEEZ! Bernie has never been afraid to speak the truth. I supported him in the primary, but after Hillary won the nomination, I supported her. If Bernies other followers had done the same we would not be facing such a disaster.
God bless and protect Bernie and all like him forever! He is so decent, so caring, so intelligent, so honest, so practical – and may everyone listen to him. He is also quite right that a signal is being sent out that no-one is allowed to dissent with Trump – bye bye democracy, it was fun while it lasted.
You are quite right TC – if only the idiots who didn't vote in either the Brexit referendum or this latest presidential election had voted then we wouldn't be in this mess. Too much misery is caused in this world by people who just say casually 'Oh no – that couldn't happen!' and then do absolutely nothing to avoid it.
Shame that the old phrase 'If there isn't anyone you want to vote for, there is always someone you want to vote against.' didn't occur to the ones who couldn't be bothered to vote for Hillary (my apologies to those who were prevented from voting by the right wing denying them their rights).

It is an example of how one 'die hard republican' student voted against her own interests – and then seemed puzzled that the Repugs she voted in were going to cut her health care – as they had promised.

Connan is in the camp of "optimists" who believed that once Drumpf was elected he'd stop tweeting and become a saner and more presidential man on the whole. Neither has happened and will never happen, and the one who's never for one second believed that Drumpf would "come around" is Bernie Sanders. Bernie has joined Clinton's campaign – abandoned them, as his staunchest supporters still maintain – when it became clear that he wouldn't be the Democrat's choice. He knew what a disaster it would be for the country if Drumpf and his ilk got hold of the White House and set his own campaign aside to fight Drumpf. And now he will continue his fight, sharply condemning the man who thinks himself king and resisting his "rule" which is already disastrous though it hasn't even officially started yet. One can only hope that those who didn't follow him before the election and weren't prepared to hold their nose, will follow him now, call Drumpf's actions out for what they really are: delusional and totally insane, and join in to resist.
