  1. Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends.

  2. I'm not sure I am ready to think in terms of a Happy Thanksgiving yet.  Rather I would wish to everyone here a thoughtful and discerning Thanksgiving, and one filled with ideas and plans about how to help our country to be one worth feeling grateful for.  I hope that's not too much of a downer.

  3. I wish the very Best to everyone on this day.
I find it sad that our Native Americans are fighting for their cause on the DAPL. "Today, American Indians continue to be put in positions where they must assert their sovereignty and protect themselves, their land, resources, and culture. The only difference is that now they are criminalized in order to delegitimize their cause." *the hill
I will put on a good front, for friends, and family, but my heart is hoping for a better tomorrow.
    Stay Blessed, y'all. xo

  4. Happy Thanksgiving, TC. We are not doing anything except watching football! Go Cowboys!

  5. Happy  Thanksgiving, all!!

If you want to know more about we thanked " Them," read "A People’s History of the United States," by Howard Zinn, and then look at the ongoing situation at the pipeline in North Dakota, to see how we continue to do so.

    • Yes, Mitch, that's quite a book,  So is "Lies My Teacher Told Me" (James W. Loewen).  There are a few people who know what reality is, and are willing to take the flak for publishing it.  Most people do NOT want the truth.  They want the story they hear first and they don't want anything to interfere with that.  And they can be quite aggressive, sometimes even violent, about refusing to listen.

    • It's my favorite History book, and I've read many.

  6. Thanks for the graphic.  Our Native Americans don't have a lot to be thankful for, to our shame.

  7. I hope everyone had a pleasant time with the blessings of family, friends and good food.

  8. Thanks all.  Pained hugs!

  9. Every day should be Thanksgiving. Sorry, not the royal pig-out – but being thankful for what you have. As for me, I spent "Turkey Day" at a favorite watering hole, counting my blessings while enjoying some good craft beer. Beat the helium-double-hockey-sticks out of another stressful day with my screwy family.
