The first time I saw Bowling for Columbine I was hooked.  Since then I have seen almost everything Michael Moore has produced, except his piece on Rump Dump, and that was only because of my vision problems.  I’ve never been disappointed.  His five points are the end of a much larger article, and I urge you to click through to read it in its entirety.

…Moore’s full five-point list:

  1. Take over the Democratic Party and return it to the people. They have failed us miserably.
  2. Fire all pundits, predictors, pollsters, and anyone else in the media who had a narrative they wouldn’t let go of and refused to listen to or acknowledge what was really going on. Those same bloviators will now tell us we must "heal the divide" and "come together." They will pull more hooey like that out of their ass in the days to come. Turn them off.
  3. Any Democratic member of Congress who didn’t wake up this morning ready to fight, resist, and obstruct in the way Republicans did against President Obama every day for eight full years must step out of the way and let those of us who know the score lead the way in stopping the meanness and the madness that’s about to begin.
  4. Everyone must stop saying they are "stunned" and "shocked". What you mean to say is that you were in a bubble and weren’t paying attention to your fellow Americans and their despair. YEARS of being neglected by both parties, the anger and the need for revenge against the system only grew. Along came a TV star they liked whose plan was to destroy both parties and tell them all "You’re fired!" Trump’s victory is no surprise. He was never a joke. Treating him as one only strengthened him. He is both a creature and a creation of the media and the media will never own that.
  5. You must say this sentence to everyone you meet today: "HILLARY CLINTON WON THE POPULAR VOTE!" The MAJORITY of our fellow Americans preferred Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump. Period. Fact. If you woke up this morning thinking you live in an effed-up country, you don’t. The majority of your fellow Americans wanted Hillary, not Trump. The only reason he’s president is because of an arcane, insane 18th-century idea called the Electoral College. Until we change that, we’ll continue to have presidents we didn’t elect and didn’t want. You live in a country where a majority of its citizens have said they believe there’s climate change, they believe women should be paid the same as men, they want a debt-free college education, they don’t want us invading countries, they want a raise in the minimum wage, and they want a single-payer true universal health care system. None of that has changed. We live in a country where the majority agree with the "liberal" position. We just lack the liberal leadership to make that happen (see: #1 above).

Let’s try to get this all done by noon today.

1. Amen.  I have always believed in exterminating the blood-thirsty Republican alligators, before draining the Democratic swamp.  I was wrong.  Drain the swamp.

2.  I disagree.  I don’t think we should turn them off, because it’s important that we know what they are doing.  I even watch the Republican Reichsministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise, from time to time.  Instead, don’t patronize their advertisers, whenever possible.

3.  When DINOs step up, tear them a new Trump hole.

4.  Good point.  In my final prediction, I smelled a rat and guaranteed only that I could make no guarantees.  I put forward what I hoped was a worst case scenario and said that I could easily be wrong.

5.  I started doing that yesterday.

  1. Amen to Michael – Amen to you –

On #2 I am split.  If turning them off lowers their ratings enough to get them fired, it would be good.  I don't know whether that would work or not.  Certainly not patronizing their advertisers will DEFINITELY help.  Is there a way to find out what they are saying that doesn't add to their ratings?

  2. Excellent, excellent article.

Time to dust off (my tears), rise up, and get through this.

Thanks, Michael, and Thanks, Tom for this great post.

  3. #! seems the most important to me right now because the Democratic party is no longer the party of the people as it claims.  Neither party exists for the people anymore.  They exist to perpetuate themselves.

    #2 I fully agree!

#3  That would probably take out most of the party, since so many of them are DINO's.

#4  I was neither stunned nor shocked, but tremendously disappointed.

#5  I am all ready doing this.

  4. I agree with Moore.  During the American Revolution, American colonists overthrew King George III of Britain over taxation without representation among other things.  I think there needs to be another revolution, not necessarily a bloody one, but nonetheless a revolution of thoughts and actions that restore 'We the people' starting now!

The British didn't listen 240 years ago, but Donald Trump is no George Washington!

  5. Amen to all five points.

Seems there are a lot of fires beeing stoked up to get America trough those very cold four years.

  6. Thanks all!  Pooped Hugs!

  7. Nobody so far has mentioned that the loss of this election began when Hillary Clinton and the DNC illegally colluded to steal the Democratic Party nomination from Bernie Sanders, the TRUE primary winner, and not only committed election fraud but took over the media as well.  Hillary even instructed the media to boost Trump, figuring he'd be easier for her to beat than the others.  Boy, was SHE wrong!  Hillary epitomized the corruption of the present-day Democratic Party, and Trump won despite their demonization of him.  I'm not saying he's a prize, but there WERE a couple important issues where he was arguably the lesser evil:  Hillary was pro-TPP, and now that Trump's in it's been pronounced dead (BUT keep your eyes open, just in case his handlers decide otherwise).  He also wanted detente with Russia, and Obama and Hillary were ramping up "regime change" chicken with the world's #2 nuclear power.  The "rebels" we are supporting in Syria are Al-Nasr, which is a branch of guess what?  Al-Queda!  Remember them from 9/11?  So we need to either end "neoliberalism" in the Democratic Party, or give up on it and migrate to the Greens, who essentially have the same platform Bernie had.

    • Cyranose, while I agree that the conduct of the DNC uas unforgiveable, I could find no evidence that Hillary was in on it.  While that was what the media did, I found no evidence that they did so at Hillary's request.  I have seen your claims before from Putin's RT network, echoed on both RT and in US media by Jill Stein, who sold-out America, but could not get even 1% of the vote.

  8. Wow. This is EXACTLY what needs to be done to reverse the idiocy that is the Democratic party! Somehow we have let our heads drift right up our own asses when it comes to knowing what the rest of the country was thinking. I don't know what will happen next, but we have to change the leadership of the Democratic party, lock, stock and barrel!

Thanks, TC. We needed a "wake-up" slap when we let this election slip away with the friggen Electoral College, which is totally passed its usefulness! Popular vote should be the only way that any election should be decided! That's the way state and local elections are decided! Why not the rest of the ticket be done the same way?

    Thanks, TC! Eye opening stuff!

  9. WILL ALL THIS MATTER WHEN THE SUN SUPERNOVAS?
