I’m back in the saddle for a couple days.  Today I have to separate and stock my meds for a week in my pill caddy, check my fantasy football lineup, plan my menu and and compose my grocery order for the week.  Tomorrow is a Wendy day, and I will be posting my final  election prediction for the year, because I’ll be busy Monday with Megan, my PCP.  Tomorrow evening my Broncos will be spraying their opponents with Raid.

Jug Zone Puzzle:Today’s took me 4:04 (average 5:32).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

From YouTube (Real Time Channel): Bill Maher Implores the Media to Do Their Job

AMEN!!

From NY Times: A federal jury convicted two former allies of Gov. Chris Christie on Friday of all charges stemming from a bizarre scheme to close access lanes at the George Washington Bridge to punish a New Jersey mayor who declined to endorse the governor’s re-election.

Though only the two defendants, Bridget Anne Kelly and Bill Baroni, were tried in the so-called Bridgegate case, the scandal surrounding the lane closings in September 2013 left Mr. Christie deeply wounded. It helped cripple his presidential candidacy this year and tarnished his reputation as a key surrogate in Donald J. Trump’s Republican presidential campaign.

With the trial set to unfold in the weeks before Election Day, aides to Mr. Trump persuaded him not to pick Mr. Christie as his vice-presidential nominee. The governor now leads Mr. Trump’s transition team, but the Trump campaign said after the verdict on Friday that Mr. Christie had “changed his schedule” and would not make appearances in New Hampshire on Saturday.

I think Kelly and Baroni should get drastically reduced sentences, if they throw enough fat in the fire to result in convicting PIGnocchio.

From TPM: The Donald Trump campaign said in a court document filed Friday that it will appeal a restraining order issued by a federal judge in Ohio earlier that day. The order, issued by U.S. District Judge James Gwin, blocked the Trump campaign — as well as former Trump adviser Roger Stone and his affiliated group — "from conspiring to intimidate, threaten, harass, or coerce voters on Election Day."

That’s right! Rump Dump’s appeal claims that Republicans have the right to intimidate, threaten, harass, and coerce voters on Election day.

  1. 4:50  Unfortunately, a habitat they didn't mention is captivity.

Glad you're back in the saddle!

YouTube/RT – "slow-moving right wing coup" – Well, it TOOK LONG ENOUGH for someone to say it!

NYT – I never thought I would say this, about anybody, but it might actually improve Christie's health to spend a couple of years in prison.

TPM – IOKIYAR magnified to the n plus oneth degree.

Cartoon – I have been missing Inspector Goosestep!  Nice to see him back, profound as ever!

While slowly trying to recover from senior moments this morning, I have been reading some stuff that is so nice – TC, make sure you look only when your blood sugar is down (you too Squatch):  http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/11/4/1591265/–He-s-the-best-person-I-have-ever-met  and  http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/11/5/1591657/-Confessions-of-a-Former-Hillary-Hater  My only question is, where were these earlier?

  2. YT: Love Bill, he's so spot on! Yea, media, do your job!!

NYT: I agree, he should step down and not lie about his involvement in Bridgegate. NJ deserves better!!

TPM: Yea, they appealed,  of course!! If they were Dems doing that, they'd, (GOP) would be all over that.

    Cartoon: Exactly!!

You sound busy, hope your guys do well. Mine are a 'bye' this week. Enjoy your day & evening, take care and Thanks, Tom.

  3. Bill Maher:  TC, I like your very cogent, one word response!!  Maher nailed it!!!!

NYT:  As a Jerseyite, I was quietly thrilled upon hearing this nwes, yesterday…NOT!  I was loudly appreciative!!!!!  Too bad Pigface camn't go out doing his verson of Trick or Treating for his Donny boy this weekend.  I have read that there is yet another Pignoccchio issue coming to the court system soon, even more directly aimed at the ass he uses for a face.  Just hearing!

TPM: Perhaps this court will indict his Orange Emtiness for contempt of reality!  When one is as sick as he, and not many are, and one attracts other sicklies, there is no amazing limit to the idiocy they can synergistically create!

  4. Looking forward to your final election prediction tomorrow, TomCat. Make sure you fit in a few catnap in that busy schedule if yours; got to build up extra strength for Tuesday.

YouTube(RTC): WOW, that was straight from the heart, Bill. It should be chanted in unison, and with the same angry passion, all across the country by all who do not wat Drumpf as the next president: Media do your f***ing job!

NYT: PIGnocchio has thrown Bridget Anne Kelly and Bill Baroni under the bus and thinks he can get away with it. I hope the both realize they owe him absolutely nothing and give the DA's office everything it needs to take that governor to court and end what's left of his political career for good and send him after his master never to be heard of again.

TPM: He's getting pretty desperate, isn't he.

Cartoon: Wish Inspector Goosestep is buried deep in evidence of non-whites voting.

  5. WRT the Cartoon:

As a white male, I want to say "Thank You!" to all the Latinos, AA and women who are going to save our nation with their votes!

I'm not particularly proud of my Y chromosome or melanin content WRT this election.

  6. Bill Maher:  I agree with him.  The media has not done its job during this entire campaign.  They have largely given Trump free press for his every utterance and are to a large extent responsible for his being this close to winning the election.  The FBI needs to be reined in and reminded of what their job is.

NY Times:  Christie should be the one going to jail.

TPM:  The Donald feels it is his right to trample on anyone who might get in his way.  I am afraid we will have intimidation at the polls this election.   The Right Wing and Trump camp are encouraging it.

Cartoon:  That seems to be their theme.

  7. Puzzle — 3:42  Looks like the tortoise out did the hare … er Puddy Tat!

Youtube — "a slow moving right wing coup" is so appropriate.  Americans may not be able to see it, but some of us outside the US sure can see it!

NY Times — "I think Kelly and Baroni should get drastically reduced sentences, if they throw enough fat in the fire to result in convicting PIGnocchio." — AMEN!!!

So, when do we get to hear the snap, crackle, pop of Christie roasting on a legal bonfire?

TPM — "…Republicans have the right to intimidate, threaten, harass, and coerce voters on Election day." — With this, the US will be a third world country.  Afterall, armed goons at polling stations seem to be the mark of corrupt politicians in 3rd world countries.

Cartoon — If anyone other than Republicans vote, Republicans, but especially Drumpf and Trumpsters, are going to yell conspiracy and unfair!
