  1. Cartoon: So sad, and not necessary. At all !! imho

Take good care, enjoy your time with your guys, and safe travels! to, and from home!

    Thanks, Tom.

  2. 4:36  That certainly boggles the mind.

Cartoon – How appropriate.  I hope and trust your day with your guys will be (or, by the time you read this, has been) rewarding.  Can you tell us any details without breaking confidentiality (assuming that there are any details it would benefit us to know)?

  3. Have a good trip and you and your guys have a good Victim Impact Meeting, TomCat! Take care and stay safe.

Cartoon: According to Wikipedia one million people were incarcerated in 1986, so that is indeed 30 years ago as you say in your comment, TomCat. But things are even worse now then you mention. Since then the prison population has reached close to 2.5 million around 2005 (hard to read the graph), gone down again a bit, but back up again to around 2.3 million by 2014. That is more then a doubling of incarceration figures while the population has grown by a mere 32% over the same 30 year period. Whatever the figures are, either Drumpf is right after all and every one of those immigrants who came to America in the past 30 years were criminals, and so are all of their children and grandchildren., or there's either something very, very wrong with the justice system. Let's hope Clinton, together with progressive Democrats, will manage to turn those figures around again and ger America from the number one spot – and out of the top 10 – on the list of countries with the highest incarceration rates.

  4. This is so sad!!! And it will only get worse if Rump Dump Drumpf gets in there! VOTE BLUE, NO MATTER WHO!!!

  5. When the "For Profit" prison system comes to an end, the population of incarcerated people will drop dramatically.

I hope you had a fulfilling day with your guys.

  6. Puzzle — 2:55  I prefer the teepee to the castle.  Much more homey!

Cartoon — Not a statistic of which to be proud.

According to Wickipedia, the US incarceration rate is 693 per 100,000 of population, the 2nd highest in the world, exceeded only by the Setchelles at 799 per 100,000 population. Russia has 450 per 100,000 and China 118 per 100,000.  Very sad!

I hope you had a most excellent time with your guys.  They are so lucky to be working with you.

  7. Thanks all.  Pooped Hugs!
