Since the last couple days have been so intense, I figured that it was time for some comic relief.  Enjoy!

Colbert: The Terrifying Reason Trump Won’t Stick to Facts

Trump’s debate performance Monday night could have been better, to say the least. The GOP nominee appeared to have shown up to the two-hour-long program with 20 minutes of material. And Trump’s obvious repetition wasn’t the GOP nominee’s only issue, as "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert pointed out. Trump "had some problems with the truth last…

  1. But the band was having fun.  After Stephen said you could use Trumps lies for a microwave popcorn timer, the cymbal shot timer imitation was priceless.

  2. Debate burps"…lol. DT blames everything and everybody except himself for his erratic behavior.

I like his show, Stephen served him up quite well. imho.

  3. "Trump's debate performance Monday night could have been better"

Well, I have to disagree.  I think his performance was EXACTLY what I was hoping for: boorish, churlish, unprepared, annoying, misogynistic … you get the idea.

He really performed about as I hoped he would – and it will certainly help Hillary (and all of us).

    • I must agree.  He did there, what he does everywhere.  I turned the debate off when it became clear that he was about to loose his cool, so I did not see the "I was going to…but decided not to do it." Unless that was put there by Andy, I'm sorry I did not see it live.  It is exactly what he does, accuse by innuendo, by what he not quite say.  He's good at it, because there is not quite anyone home…in the Orange emptiness.

  4. Colbert is truly cool!  And, somewhere, earlier, the times reported that "Donald" was uncoachable.  His staff tried to review GOP debate tapes, to tune up his presentation, but he saw no problems, was convinced "I'm so good at this!"  Bozo!

  5. Drumpf said he won all the polls post debate including the CBS poll, but excluding the CNN poll which according to Drumpf is a Democratic poll.  One problem . . . CBS didn't run a poll.

And Drumpf blamed his poor performance on a faulty mic and several unfair questions near the end.  As Colbert says, the mic was faulty because it actually worked and we were subjected to his incessant drivel.

As I went about to physio, podiatrist etc, everybody asked the same question — what did I think of Monday's debate?  Before I could answer,  they would start on what a fool Drumpf was.  One person went so far as to say he was a "dick head"!  To say that Drumpf is not liked here north of the 49th is a gross understatement.

  6. Great summary and assessment of the debate by Stephen Colbert, and so funny too. One thing I notice as the election is drawing near is that with many popular TV hosts the gloves have come off completely. They're hitting hard and on Drumpf most of all. No more softening the blows, no more sugarcoating his uncoatable behavior and politics. About time.

  7. LOL – sadly true but also funny….it's always good to know others see what we see – many thanks, TC, for some good laughs.

  8. Thanks all!!  Exhausted Hugs!!
