19 Pages of Pucky

To be clear, the term "pucky" is best understood in its most common contexts: bull pucky and horse pucky.  In a political context, it can be understood as lies.  I would consider a politician dishonest, if they has 19 prominent examples of proven pucky.  Never in my most obscene nightmares, fleeing Republican  ghouls, have I ever imagined a candidate with 19 pages of pucky!

…The Donald is an absolute EXPERT at policing himself. He’s certainly an expert at policing Hillary Clinton, calling her a liar, a bigot, one of the founders of ISIS, and many other things too numerous to list…

…or are they?

The Hillary Clinton campaign held a special press call to call on the debate moderator, media, and voters to fact check Donald Trump. In order to help the press, debate moderators, and voters fact check Trump, the Clinton campaign has released 19 pages of Trump lies.

HFA Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri said, “Donald Trump has shown a clear pattern of repeating provably false lies hoping that nobody will correct him. As we head into this debate, we want voters and viewers to be on alert that they should keep track. Any candidate that tells this many lies, clearly can’t win the debate on the merits.”

The full list can be read here. Here’s a quick taste, though:

The Clinton campaign is specifically focused on Trump’s 7 Deadly Lies:

FALSE: Trump opposed the Iraq War.

Washington Post: Trump: “I was totally against the war in Iraq.” // Four Pinocchios.

FALSE: Trump opposed intervention in Libya.

Factcheck.org: Donald Trump on Libya, May 20 interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”: I would have stayed out of Libya.” // False.

FALSE: Clinton supports open borders.

PolitiFact: Trump says Clinton wants to create ‘totally open borders.’ // False

I shared just three examples.  Click through for more.  Or read the list.  Shouldn’t every debate moderator have and use a copy?

  1. It wouldn't be hard to ensure every debate moderator HAS a list.  USING the list is another story.  Another advance take on the debate – http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/9/26/1574403/-MSNBC-is-a-case-study-in-how-concocted-media-expectations-are-gaming-the-debate

  2. I am sure that more pages will added. She's got the upper hand with this, and I am sure that she'll use it.

I can only imagine the odious spiel that will emit from his mouth tonight.

  3. This is going to be a circus tonight! I don't know if I want to watch it or not… I KNOW who I'm going to VOTE for! I don't need any more convincing that Donnochio is the worst thing that ever happened to the US, and probably Russia too! I couldn't click thru because I can't stand the unspeakable LIES!!!

Thanks for the heads up, TC!

  4. The moderatores will not fact check, they are realy there for the entertainment factor…in VERY dumbed down America!

There has not been a single debate in which Rumpthing has participated.  There have been name calling contests, or, rather, episodes.  There have been "Who Can Lie the Most" contests, but no one on the GOPig side has actually been capable of debating.  Dr. Ben, Pignoccio, and more can not even spell the word!

  5. I read the list and now my eyes are crossed!  I watched the debate, Hillary won, no argument.  She had facts, he had opinons. Holt did a fairly good job as moderator, I thought.  Trump looked nervous, and was rude as usual.

  6. "… have I ever imagined a candidate with 19 pages of pucky!" — That's not pucky . . .  it's pure USDA grade A bullshit!

IMO, Drumpf is a national disgrace, not worthy of his citizenship,

  7. I'm sure Drumpf will wave it away with that dismissive gesture he makes all the time and say that fact-checking is for losers. And the media will follow suit. Our news already mentioned that American media will decide who was the winner in the debate last night. And since left-leaning media are few and far between, it's not hard to predict what the outcome of that will be. It's what we have come to expect from  America.

  8. The best part of the debate was listening to the after-reports in which Trump was called "petulant", "pouty", and "meandering".  Of course, he kept the fact checkers busy, too.

  9. Thanks all.  Hugs!!  Since the debate is the subject of today's lead article, I'll wait to discuss it there.
